Chaeyoung's POV

The four of us had decided to split up into two teams of two for the search.  Jisoo with Lisa and Jennie with me.

As Jennie and I walked side by side, I gazed up at the sky.  It wasn't yet evening, but stars slowly appeared, shining its light from millions and millions of light years away.

"I've always wondered if any of those stars are still alive.  It's weird to think that some of those stars may have already reached the end of its life." I said.  Jennie nodded as she examined the sky above.

"And yet those stars try their hardest to shine the brightest.  Even at its end." Jennie frowned.  "We're never going to find my bear, are we?"

I shook my head profusely.  "Yes we are.  We just need to keep looking.  It must be here somewhere."

Jennie shrugged.  "Maybe it's a sign to let go of that boy.  He was important to me in that period of my life and I still am thankful to him, but perhaps the disappearance of it was fated."  Jennie stared back up at the night sky, a nostalgic smile on her face.  "Although it would be nice to know how he is doing these days."

I stared at Jennie as our boots scrunched on the snowy surface. "What was he like?  The boy, I mean."

"He was pretty soft spoken actually, and so was I as a child.  Now that I think about it, I'm not really sure who approached the other first.  I just remember seeing him under the shade of a tree." Jennie sighed.  "I think maybe it was me.  The one that approached first that is.  He just... looked lonely.  And sad.  He reminded me of myself." Jennie coughed. "Sorry, am I rambling too much?"

"Oh no, you're fine!  He must have been really special to you."

Jennie nodded.  "He really was.  As cheesy as it sounds, he was the light in my life." Jennie flushed. "Jeez, this is embarrassing."

I chuckled.  It felt nice talking to Jennie like this.  She was finally opening up that cold, cool facade of hers.  "Is this why you've never had a boyfriend before?"

Jennie pondered on the question.  "...I never really thought about.  My family has always been my number one priority, so things like boyfriends and such were never in my train of thoughts."

I nodded in understanding.  "I can relate in some way.  Just the perks of having an overprotective father and older brother." I cringed.

Jennie's eyes widened. "You have a brother?"

"Yeah. I think he's around Jongin and Seokjin's age because he's currently a second year in college." I voiced.

"Good luck to Jungkook." Jennie joked. "He has two people to go through."

Let's hope Jungkook's first meeting with them doesn't end up being a huge misunderstanding with our shared dorms....

"Y-yeah." I faltered. "But that's if he reciprocates my feelings too."

Jennie fixed her scarf around her neck. "Oh, he likes you. It's really obvious. Especially when we went ice skating." Jennie winked.

I felt my cheeks burn up, but before I could reply, Jennie hushed me and signalled for me to crouch down next to a nearby tree. I raised my eyebrows in question.
