Chaeyoung's POV
"Alright, I understand your circumstances Ms. Park and Mr. Jeon." Ms. Lee, the landlady, said looking between us. We were currently in manager's office after the havoc that I had caused. "I only have one solution that is the most cheapest and will keep Ms. Park from trouble."
I leaned forward in anticipation. What could her suggestion possibly be?
"Just clean up the debris near the hole," she smiled, "although it might be a problem because both of you are teenagers.... but I trust that you're good kids considering the trust your parents have placed on you."
My eyes widened, "You want us to share a room together?" I pointed between Jungkook and I, "Us?"
"I'm hurt Chaeyoung." Jungkook exaggerated, placing a hand over his heart.
"Technically it's still two separate rooms, but just connected," Ms. Lee explained, "and I understand that it might be a problem with you school, but you can keep it secret," she winked with a twinkle in her eyes, "sometimes living on the edge is fun."
I sighed as I considered my options. It definitely was a cheaper option, but I was going to be living with a guy. Who happens to be around my age. Not to mention, there was also keeping it secret from both the school and my dad.... "Are you okay with this Jungkook?" I looked towards him, "You did say you're not very good with girls."
Jungkook shrugged, "I already told you how I felt about you yesterday."
Beggers couldn't be choosers as they say and it was my fault in the first place.
"Alright, I'll go with it."
-
"Annnd done!" I exclaimed as I attached a curtain to cover the hole on the wall. For the past hour, Jungkook and I had been cleaning away the debris.
Jungkook stared at my choice of color, "Did it have to be baby pink?"
I crossed my arms, "Of course."
I climbed down the ladder, and Jungkook put it away in his closet. Now that I thought about it, was Jungkook really okay with me invading his privacy? Granted he was invading my privacy too, but I caused this problem in the first place.
"Hey, Jungkook, is there anything I can do?" I asked, lacing my fingers together in front of my stomach.
"Hmm? What do you mean?" Jungkook responded, looking back at me.
"I mean, since I caused all of this, I was wondering if there was a way that I could make up for this." I explained, staring at my feet.
"Hmm..." Jungkook took my suggestion in consideration, "Do you play the guitar?"
I nodded, "How'd you know?" I looked at him suspiciously, "Did you peek into my room?"
He chuckled, "Of course not. Yesterday I overheard someone playing the guitar and I was wondering if it was you."
"Ahh," I said, my cheeks heating up from the misunderstanding, "what do you want with my guitar?"
"I wanted you to teach me how to play it," he said, a noticeable red tint on his ear, "I've always wanted to learn."
I smiled, "Of course! I'm not the best, but I'll try to teach you."
"Great, thanks." Jungkook replied with a small smile on his face.
We stood there in awkward silence before Jungkook broke it, "If you ever plan on bringing any of your friends over, just make sure to be careful because we don't want our situation getting out," he said, "especially with the girls in school....." he cringed.
I nodded, "Yes, same here with me. Also, if my parents or brother ever visit, make sure to stay out of sight.... Although that curtain will be difficult to explain." I said as I glanced over to it.
"Just tell them that you're rooming with a girl," Jungkook suggested, "they'll never know if I'm not there."
"Okay," I glanced over at Jungkook's clock, "Oh! It's already 11!" I hurriedly went through the curtain, "Goodnight Jungkook!"
"Good night!" Jungkook replied.
