Chapter 15

Chaeyoung's POV

The three of us nervously stare at the exit of the haunted house, waiting for a familiar brunette to pop out. It was not allowed for people to stand right in front of the exit, so we stood a few feet to the side.

It wasn't until ten minutes later when a brunette- a male- sprinted out from the exit, with another brunette- a female- right behind him. The pair had their hands clasped together, but both had equally terrified looks in their faces and were out of breathe from their run.

It was then that I realized that the girl was Jennie, and as the male released his grip from her hand, the three of us approaced the pair, glancing worriedly down at Jennie who was bending down to catch her breathe.

"Jennie, are you alright?" Jisoo was the first to question her as she pat down her back.

"Yo Jongin!  You alright man?" The man that came out with Jennie had his hands on his hips.  He too was catching his breathe.

I scrunched my eyebrows at the voice.  Why did his voice sound familiar?  I tore away my gaze from Jennie, and glanced at the man called 'Jongin' and his friend.

My eyes widened in realization.  Jungkook? 

Jongin had his eyebrows raised,  "Do I look okay to you?  Hell, I was cussing like a dang sailor in there.  Anyways, we're even now little brother." He patted Jungkook's head, to which the younger twisted his face away from.

I looked away from them, and placed my attention on Jennie, who was now standing, but her face was still a bit pale.  So Jungkook had a brother?  Well that was news to me, but it's none of my business.

Lisa and Jisoo were interrogating Jennie with apologies, to which Jennie shook her head to, "It was my fault, don't blame yourselves."  She looked over my shoulder to Jongin and Jungkook.

"Besides, it wasn't too bad.  I had someone else screaming with me- erm, to be more specific, cussing while I was the one screaming at the top of my lungs.  He kept it somewhat entertaining while we were running for our lives." Jennie had a small smile on her face.

The three of us shared a look of amusement.  Were we going to possibly match make these two together?  Maybe, but we need to learn more about who this Jongin person was.

"Wait, isn't that Jungkook?" Lisa elbowed me on the side, eyeing the pair behind us.

I nodded. "I guess so, unless we're all seeing an illusion here."

Jongin and Jungkook approached us, and Jungkook's eyes widened when he saw the four of us.

"Uh, fancy meeting you four here?" Jungkook began awkwardly.

Jongin nodded in greeting, before turning towards Jungkook to whisper something, to which Jungkook nodded his head to.

"Uh, meet my older brother, Jongin." Jungkook introduced, "Jongin meet Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie, and Chaeyoung." I raised my hand to give a little wave.

"It's very nice to meet you all." Jongin kept his gaze at Jennie, as he scratched the back of his neck, "Although I would have preferred to meet you in a different matter."

Jennie shyly nodded, "Same here, although I didn't mind it all that much.  You had some very, err, creative cusses in there." She chuckled, and Jongin's face was beginning to turn red.

"Please forget about that.  I don't do well with horror."

Jennie shook her head, "Sorry, but I don't think that's happening." She and Jongin exchanged a smile, and when they both caught each other's gazes, they immediately looked away.

Jisoo laughed at the dynamic, "Alright, while those two continue to check each other out- Ow- Let's head to dinner. I want to introduce you guys to someone." Jennie had lightly nudged Jisoo on the side during her talk due to her embarrassment.

Jisoo looked over at Jongin and Jungkook when a light bulb lit up from her head.

"Lisa, why don't you text Taehyung? I have an idea." Lisa and Jisoo exchanged a look that Jennie and I knew all too well.

They were planning something and we both did not know how to feel about it.
