Chaeyoung's POV
I am officially an idiot. I should have accepted his help. Knowing me, I should have realized how horrible I was with directions, but of course me being me thought, "hey, let's be independent because I'm totally capable of that." Yeah, nah. I groaned as I glanced at my phone, 7:25. I had five more minutes till class and I had no idea where I was.
I was reluctant on asking other students because everyone I had seen were all either busy on their phone or busy devouring the faces of their loved one. This was a high school alright. I sighed. Late on my first day. Sounds like something I'd only be able to do.
I guess I can try finding a teacher. I've barely seen any out in the halls; they're all probably in their classrooms already. I was about to enter a room when someone grabs my hand from behind.
On reflex, I almost kicked the person behind me before I realized it was just another student.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, but are you lost? I've been seeing you wander around the past twenty minutes, but I've just now gathered the courage to talk to you." The girl rambled.
The female student was very beautiful. She was around the same height as me and she wore the same uniform, but the similarities ended there. The girl had bangs that ended right where her eyebrows were. She had big eyes and she looked foreign.
"Actually, yes, I'm lost." I admitted sheepishly.
She nodded in sympathy, "Understandable. I was like that too two years ago, but I've gotten a good bearing of my surroundings now. Can I see your schedule? I might be able to help you."
I handed her my schedule and I continued to stare at her as she read through, trying to figure out what nationality she was. She definitely wasn't Korean, but she still could be. It's not like I was an expert.
The girl glanced up from my paper, noticed me studying her, and she smiled, "I'm Thai if you were wondering."
"Oh, sorry! I didn't mean to be rude." I apologized, realizing how impolite I was being.
"No worries, everyone's like that." She laughed, "Anyways, it looks like we have 1st, 4th hour lunch and 6th hour together!"
"Really? That's awfully convenient." I said, returning her smile.
"Yup! My name's Lisa by the way, what's yours?"
"It's Chaeyoung."
