Chaeyoung's POV

The flight to Jeju Island took one hour, so it wasn't too long. The hour flew by in a flash because I spent most of it napping. I guess my lack of sleep caught up with me.

"Ah! It's so beautiful!" I exclaimed, running out of the airport with my arms raised to the sky.  It really was. Once we left the airport we were greeted with a spectacular view of snow white grass.  It was a bit foggy, but the view remained unbothered.

"Chaeyoung, don't get too ahead!"  My teacher yelled from behind, and I slowed to a walk.

"Sorry!" I sheepishly yelled back.  Whoops, maybe I was still a tad bit excited.  I rejoined the group, and we continued to walk towards the hotel.

A cold breeze flew by, and I shivered.  I was wearing a thick coat, gloves, boots, and a scarf wrapped tightly around my face, but I was still freezing.  I definitely should have put on more layers of clothing.

"You cold?" Jungkook, who I didn't realize was behind me, asked.

"A little, but I'll manage." I replied, my arms crossed in front of my chest to provide more warmth.  A silhouette of a hotel was beginning to form in our line of vision.  "Besides, we're already pretty close."

Jungkook nodded thoughtfully in response, and we continued to walk in silence.

-

"Alright, we're here."  The teacher said once we arrived in front of the entrance.  "Once you meet up with your roommate, come up to me to receive your room number and key card."

I looked around for Lisa among the crowd of students.  Jennie and Jisoo had already said that they wanted to room together, so that left Lisa and me.

"Chaeyoung!  Over here!"  A feminine voice shouted within the crowd of students, and I caught a glimpse of Lisa's black beanie.

I hastily made my way to her direction, muttering apologies as I bumped into other classmates.

"Well that was a workout." I joked once I reached Lisa.

"Fortunately I'm pretty tall," Lisa said, "otherwise it would have been hard to spot me." She glanced around before leaning towards my ear, "If I were Jisoo or Jennie, it would be a different story." She whispered.

I laughed in response, "You're lucky they're not around."  Jennie and Jisoo were evidently shorter than Lisa and me, so it was a sore spot for the both of them: Jennie specifically.  Jisoo didn't mind being called a midget, but Jennie disliked her small height.  She never really opened up with why, but hopefully one day she will trust us enough to tell the reason.

"Say, do you know where Jungkook is?  Taehyung was asking earlier because he couldn't find him." Lisa asked, changing the subject.

"He was behind me earlier, but I didn't see him after." I replied, looking around.  I spotted a boy wearing a gray colored beanie.  I squinted, and realized that it was Jungkook.  "Speak of the devil, he's over there!" I said, gesturing towards his direction.

"Ah, you're right." Lisa replied as she also squinted towards his direction, "But what is he buying from Mcdonalds?  We just got here, but he's already hungry?"

"Well we didn't eat anything earlier so...." I said before I covered my mouth hastily.

Chaeyoung!  Oh my gosh, please tell me she didn't hear anything.

"That's true, we did get to the airport pretty early..." Lisa replied and I breathed a sigh of relief.  Thankfully she didn't interpret it another way or that would have been terrible.

"Oh, he's heading this way!" Lisa suddenly announced, "And...." she squinted at the person next to Jungkook, "I guess Taehyung found him too."

The pair were both carrying a tray each and were chatting animatedly.

"And you know what I told him?" As they got closer, their conversation could be heard.

"I told him: you got no jams." Jungkook replied while laughing.

Taehyung almost dropped his tray from his laughter, and I could see that he was beginning to tear up.

"Alright boys, you're carrying very special items right there, so do be careful." Lisa said, raising an eyebrow at Taehyung.

"Yes ma'am!"  Taehyung replied, using one of his hands to salute.

"Two hands!" Lisa scolded him, a playful smile on her face.

I looked away from the pair, and focused on Jungkook who was standing awkwardly next to Taehyung.

"You're eating all that?" I asked as I glanced at his tray.  He had ordered two hot chocolates and two breakfast meals that consisted of three pancakes, a hashbrown, two sausages and scrambled eggs.

"Yup, I'm starving after all." He said before smiling, "Just kidding, I ordered the other breakfast meal for you."

"For me?" I repeated, baffled, "How much was it?  I can pay you right now."

Jungkook shook his head, and despite wearing a beanie, some part of his ears were still exposed, and it was taking on a light red tint.  He was embarrassed.  Why?

"Take it as an act of kindness.  Earlier you said that you were cold so I figured a hot meal and a cup of hot chocolate would help keep you warm." He admitted, sheepishly looking away.

I felt my cheeks warm up.  "You're too sweet, you'd do this for me?"  He really was.  He didn't need to buy a whole meal for me.

"It wasn't too expensive, so it's really fine." Jungkook replied, his ears growing even more red.

"Alright, but to pay you back I'm going to cook the first week that we come back." I suggested.  I didn't like having debts, so I had to do something.

"Fair." Jungkook said, "Besides I like your food."  He admitted, grinning.

I smiled back.  Thump.  A strange feeling washed over my chest, and I placed a hand over my heart.  What was that?

"Hey, you four, get to your rooms now!" Our teacher yelled.

The lobby had cleared up, and not one of us had realized that we were the only ones left.

"Sorry!" Lisa and I said simultaneously.

Jungkook handed me the hot chocolate and breakfast meal.

"Thank you." I said, smiling.

"You're welcome."
