Chaeyoung's POV
The next months flew by with no incidents, and before I knew it, it was already December. Surprisingly, living together with Jungkook wasn't too bad. We were able to develop a stable routine that suited both of our tastes.
Both Jungkook and I were decent cooks, so we had a compromise where the first person who woke up was responsible for cooking breakfast, and the first person to arrive back from school was the one who had to cook dinner.
Our guitar lessons together also went smoothly because Jungkook (not suprisingly) was a very fast learner, so he was able to progress very quickly.
"Chaeyoung, breakfast is ready!" Jungkook shouted from his room's kitchen.
"Coming!" I replied as I finished tying my school tie. Because it had gotten colder, the school had the girls change from shirts to long sleeves, but we were still required to wear skirts which lead to my legs freezing to death, but luckily we were allowed to wear jogging pants under the skirts if we wished to.
I sniffed the air as I walked towards Jungkook's room, and I felt my eyes tear up. The food smelled heavenly. Jungkook was an exceptional cook- even better than me, but I had no complaints because if the food was good, then I was happy.
"Wah! You cooked omelettes today!" I gasped in delight. Omelettes were one of my favorite dishes, so I was always ecstatic whenever Jungkook cooked it.
Jungkook smiled in response, as he nodded in acknowledgment, "I was in the mood for omelettes today."
I sat on one of the chairs seated in front of the omelette, and I hurriedly shoved a piece of omelette into my mouth. I shook my hands as I savored the taste, my cheeks puffing out, "As always, it's amazing!"
Jungkook had taken the seat across from me and was chuckling at my mini dance, "You give me too much credit. Personally, the spaghetti that you cook is more delicious."
I shook my head as I continued to stuff my face with food. One thing I realized after months of living with Jungkook was that he was very thoughtful.
There was this one time a month or so ago when I was on my menstrual cycle. For some reason, my cycle that week was much more harsh, so I was experiencing much more painful cramps than usual. It was too embarrassing to tell Jungkook about the situation because we weren't exactly the closest, and he was also a guy, but he had noticed my uncomfortableness.
On the weekend of that week, I had walked out of my bedroom, and there was a heatpad with a bar of dark chocolate on top of it. The chocolate was melted because he had placed it on top of the heatpad, but nevertheless it was very thoughtful and sweet of him.
"You're too modest Jungkook," I said after I had swallowed my food, "you're not only an exceptional cook, but you're also a natural in the guitar. You've already mastered so much over the last few months."
Jungkook's ears took on a slight red tint, and a small smile appeared on my face. Another thing I had learned over the past months was that Jungkook got embarrassed easily. He was a demure and shy person, a lot like me, which I appreciated because I don't know how I would have been able to deal with an outgoing and extroverted guy.
We continued to eat in silence, but the atmosphere wasn't suffocating and uncomfortable.

"Chaeyoung, are you going on that field trip?" Lisa asked me as we walked side by side through the hallways. 8th hour had just ended, and we were both heading towards the exit to meet with Jennie and Jisoo.
I nodded my head, "Of course! Especially if it's Jeju Island!" I exclaimed, crossing my arms, "Who do you think I am?" I pouted.
"Yes, yes I know, just please don't lecture me on the beauty of nature again." Lisa sweat dropped, patting my on the back.
"You two are so slow!" Jisoo complained when she saw the the two of us approach her and Jennie.
"I bet it was Taehyung who delayed you two." Jennie smirked towards Lisa, an eyebrow raised suggestively.
"Unnie!" Lisa whined, her cheeks taking on a red tint, "You're just jealous that you don't have a boyfriend!"
Jennie shook her head, "They're a waste of time."
"You're just saying that because you've never dated anyone before." Jisoo piped in, looking at Jennie.
Jennie glanced back and forth between Lisa and Jisoo, and then looked at me, "I have a comrade, so don't come for me." She said, walking towards my direction.
"Maybe in ten years I won't be," I laughed, "but for now we singles shall stay together!"
Jennie laughed, and stood next to me.
Jisoo looked at Jennie, sighed, then looked at Lisa and me, "Anyway- are you two excited for the field trip? I went last year and it was an amazing experience!"
In our school, there was an annual field trip open to both juniors and seniors. Since both Jennie and Jisoo were seniors, it was no surprise that the two had already went.
I clapped my hands in excitement, "Yes! I can't wait to go indoor ziplining! I love heights!" I exclaimed enthusiastically, and I saw Jisoo flinch a bit.
"I'll have to abstain from that particular activity," Jisoo laughed nervously, "it didn't turn out well last year."
"Unnie's not good with heights~" Jennie teased Jisoo, laughing as Jisoo marched towards her to slap her arm, "I still have the video! Imagine if you went outdoor ziplining!"
"Yah, Jennie, I swear-" Jisoo threatened, lifting her hand up in a fist, but Jennie wasn't affected at all, in fact, it caused her to laugh even more.
"You look so much like a grandma right now- I can't-" Jennie bent down in laughter, tears forming from her eyes.
I chuckled at the interaction. It was obvious how close Jisoo and Jennie were because Jisoo was the only one who could cause Jennie to be so carefree and break out of her intimidating aura. Within the intimidating aura was just a kind and genuine girl who was too shy to interact with others, so she hid it with a fierce aura.
Jennie patted her chest as she stood up, "Phew, it's been a while since you've made me laugh that hard." She said, looking towards Jisoo.
"What can I say? I'm just that good." Jisoo replied, smiling fondly at Jennie.
Jennie groaned at Jisoo's response, "Seokjin oppa has definitely rubbed off on you... I swear I've heard him say that before." Jennie said.
"Seokjin oppa?" I repeated, confused. Who was that?
"Ah, you haven't met him yet, but he's Jisoo's boyfriend," Jennie replied, sighing, "as you can see, he's rubbed off on her." She said, glancing at Jisoo.
"Nah, must be your imagination." Jisoo said, before looking at Lisa and me.
"Okay, let's get going, I'm starving!" Jisoo said, skipping ahead of us.
Jennie, Lisa and I glanced at each other, shaking our heads, but there was a hint of a smile on all of our faces.
"You're going too fast unnie!" We all exclaimed, following Jisoo's footsteps.
