Numb

Chapter 2

Author's Note: In case someone gets confused, this is set on the same day as last chapter, except from Christina's point of view!

Christina's POV

I hear my phone play music as I wake up to my alarm. I sing along a little while I get dressed and go through my usual routine. I then go down to breakfast. I think over today's schedule while I eat.

Eventually Lisa walks in and grabs her breakfast. We exchange the usual small talk and fall into an easy silence.

After Amy and Katherine show up and finish eating, I quickly go over today's schedule with them. I am a bit annoyed that Lisa hasn't even started editing yet, and I think my tone reflects that. She doesn't seem to notice, though.

After I am done, we all split up to do our tasks. I hear Lisa go upstairs while Amy and Kath head to the living room. I go to the music room and start work on next week's cover.

After a little while I get up and eat, saying hello to Amy and Kath on my way to the kitchen. I ask if they want something, and they tell me they already ate. I ask if Lisa has eaten, and they tell me she grabbed some chips a while ago, but hasn't come down for any lunch. I frown, and go up to Lisa's room, I see her with her headphones on working on the weekend videos, and decide not to interrupt, she seems pretty focused. I eat, and briefly think about bringing something upstairs for Lisa, but decide not to, she is an adult after all, if she is hungry she will come and eat.

Soon, Lauren and Dani get here. Lisa comes downstairs and greets them, she says that she is almost done. I am relieved, I wasn't sure how much work she had gotten done.

Dani wanders off to find Amy, and Katherine comes with me to the music room to help with the arrangements. I see Lauren and Lisa head upstairs, and I smile. Those two have always been close, Lauren is sometimes the only person that can get Lisa to talk when she is in a mood. I am glad that they can have some sister time together.

Katherine and I soon decide that we have done enough work for today, and we go upstairs to see what everyone else is doing.

Lauren and Lisa are working on editing, and Amy and Dani seem to be watching a movie.

We go into Amy's room and join in, it is a comedy, and soon we are all laughing. Lauren comes in not too long after that, but Lisa doesn't. I ask her where Lisa is, and Lauren told me that Lisa is busy. I decide to buy it, and we continue watching the movie.

I thought I heard someone at the door, but when I looked there was nobody there. I decided it was my imagination, and went back to watching the movie.

When the movie ends we start talking about the video we were posting this weekend. We make little jokes about each other, teasing each other as we laugh thinking about a silly dance move or hilarious mistake.

In a rare moment of her talking, Lauren asks who we thought had the best solo in that video. Dani replied, "Lisa! She totally killed that song. Made her, the original artist, singing sound horrible!" We all laugh and agree. Although Katherine does point out that the original artist is a great singer, and that is one of the reasons we chose her. Dani waves her hand in reply, "Yah yah, just joking Kath."
