Chapter 29

An-I'm thinking about doing some kind of schedule, so, comment any suggestions. Also, sorry for the super late update. Been working through some stuff.

Lauren's POV

We all walk into the room. I look at the ground, not wanting to look at her yet. I glance up to see my sisters surrounding Lisa, and we lock eyes. I stare at her, and think about the pain we went through, the panic, the worry. I think about the shock we were in, I wondered what was so wrong with me that she didn't think she could talk to me. I look at her, and she mouths I'm sorry.

Is sorry enough? No. It's all I am going to get right now though. Logically, I know it isn't my fault, or her fault for that matter, but emotionally, I can't seem to understand it.

I walk up to her, and try to smile, and as she attempts to smile back, our smiles fade. We both knew that it wasn't real.

I look away and sit on a chair beside Dani. My phone dings, and I look at it. It's a text from Ty.

Ty: Hey, How's it going?

Lauren: Hi Ty. Lisa's awake, but she can't speak, something about her throat swelling too much.

Ty: Jeesh. Well, swelling doesn't take that long to go down, maybe she will be talking soon.

Lauren: Ya, the doctors said that she may even be able to talk by tonight.

Ty: Are they gonna let u guys take her home soon?

Lauren: No...they want to keep her for some evaluation, supposed to last like three days. I don't know why, it's obvious that she's not okay. I mean, she tried to kill herself!

Ty: Hm, well hospital people have stupid reasons for things sometimes. 🤷‍♂️

Lauren: I guess. How was ur day?

Ty: Fine I guess, one of my weird neighbors gave me a bunch of food. Not sure how I'm supposed to eat this much, I have enough food to last for weeks 😂

Lauren: 😂 Well, at least you don't have to cook or order in. Do you have a job?

Ty: true, and yah. I'm in construction. They gave me a few days off, but I have to go back to work tomorrow.

Lauren: Cool. Well, I gtg, they are kicking us out for a few hrs. Apparently Lisa needs rest or something.

Ty: Good luck, I hope your sis' gets better Princess.
