AN-So...It's been a while. I know that there is no real excuse for not updating for so long, the only thing I can say is that I've been having some personal issues in my life. I'm sorry, and I'll try to do better, but no promises. My mental health will always come before writing, and sometimes I just need a break. Anyways, enjoy the next installment of Numb.

Katherine's POV 7:30 AM

I wake up suddenly, with images of Lisa dying still prevalent in my head. I shake my head quickly, and get up. I get dressed and head downstairs. I look into the living room to see Lauren and Dani still sleeping.

I walk to the kitchen, and decide to make breakfast. I get out some bacon and eggs, figuring something simple would be best. As I start cooking the bacon, Amy walks in. She gives me a half-hearted smile and sits down at the table. I finish cooking and go to wake up the others.

First, I go to wake up Lauren and Dani. I carefully shake Dani awake, and then she wakes up Lauren. Both of them stumble into the kitchen to eat. I then head upstairs to wake up Christina. I knock on her door before entering, and see her laying in bed, just staring at the ceiling. I sit down beside her, and tell her that breakfast is ready. She looks at me sleepily, and follows me downstairs without saying a word.

We all eat at the table in complete silence, no one daring to start a conversation. Finally, when we are done, all of us leave to get dressed.  I say we are leaving in 15 minutes no one asks where we are going. We all know it is about time to get to the hospital.

Christina's POV

I sit in the front seat as Kath drives, the letters in my purse along with Lisa's journal. The drive to the hospital doesn't take very long, and soon we are all walking up to the front desk. I hear Amy ask if Lisa is still in the same room, and if she can have a few visitors. The nurse says that she had been moved to a private room overnight, and tells us the new room number.

I ask who her main doctor is, so I can hand over the stuff, and am told it is someone named Dr. Wesley. We then head to Lisa's room, all of us looking scared and hesitant.

We walk in, and see Mom sleeping on a small cot in the corner. I look at Lisa and notice that she still has the tube down her throat. We all sit down, I take chair on the right side of Lisa's bed while Lauren takes the left side. Dani drags a chair over beside Lauren and Kath sits with Amy on the couch.

We sit there for a while, then a tall woman walks in, introducing herself as Dr. Wesley. I hand her the letters and journal and she says she will pass it on to psych. I ask when they can take the tube out, and she says that they are waiting until Lisa starts to breathe over the tube, which they hope to be sometime this morning. She does a quick exam and writes something on the chart before asking if we had any other questions.

Amy says, "When will she wake up?"

Dr. Wesley replies, "Right now we are keeping her sedated because she is intubated, but we are hoping to wake her up sometime this afternoon."

We all nod, and Dr. Wesley leaves.
