Mr.Jones my mothers attorney and boss is sitting in my family room along side Blackfoot, they have been waiting for me the last ten minutes. I've been trying to get my feet to move toward the room but I know once I step foot in there this will all become real.

Pain like raw hot searing knives jab into my heart. I never knew my body could actually physically hurt from emotional pain, but it does and as tears form in my eyes I suck in a deep breath. I'm not weak and I damn sure wont let Blackfoot see me as a weakling by crying.  Raising my head high shoulders back I walk into the room.

"Hello I apologize for keeping you waiting Mr. Jones."

" No need Kierra, I understand how hard this must be on you."

I know for a fact that he doesn't. Both his parents are alive and well. They moved to Hawaii the second Jr. here got his barring's in law.

" Yes thank you, shall we start?" I say taking a seat.

"Yes, Devon Blackfoot Shelly asked that in the event she passed before Kierra is eighteen you take custody of her. Now is that something you are okay with ,taking responsibility for your daughter?"

"I am" I can't stop my eyes from rolling.

" Excellent" Jones continues completely unaffected by my childish behavior.

" Now Shelly wrote both of you letters that will be arriving at your home in a week or two Mr. Blackfoot to do with what you will. However she did want this to be read to the two of you together."

Blinking a few times not sure I heard correctly to the both of us. So she really planned on me going with the man who didn't want me? Why the hell would she do this!

Well if Jones is reading this then that means I'm gone. I have always tried to protect the ones I love and Kierra I do love you with everything I am, that's why I need for you to go with your father now baby girl. You have so much to learn. I fear that when you find everything out you will hate me and if you do I'll understand, just remember that if I had to do it all over again I would for you my sweet Kiki. Kierra Mr. Jones is going to give you some documents and I want you to go over them before entering your fathers tribe.

Devon leaving you was one of if not the hardest things I have ever done. I loved you then, now and forever.  Please keep our daughter safe.

So many emotions running through my head. Anger, sadness and confusion are just the three that stand out.

Angry she wants me to go with the man I never knew. pissed off that she still loves him! A man that left her high and dry at eighteen with a kid on the way.

Sadness because not once in that letter did she mention her husband. The man that loved her. The man that raised her daughter as if I was his own.

Confused as to why she think Blackfoot needs to keep me safe. I know the drill ' don't talk to stranger's always carry a can of pepper spray and always stay in a group of three at night'. The most confusing thing is what the hell could she have ever have done to make her think I could actually ever hate her?

So lost in thought I didn't realize the Mr. Jones placed a file on the coffee table, let alone seen him leave. Looking towards Blackfoot ready to rapidly fire questions at him and by the look of horror on his face he knows it. However before I can get a word out he beats me to it.

"The movers will be done here in a week. Have you packed what you need?" He pauses and his forest green eyes harden. " Remember Kierra your mother wanted you with me." Blackfoot grits out between his clenched teeth before Liam and a very pissed off looking Mr. Draggers.

Rick Draggers is a monster of a man almost as tall as Blackfoot huge muscles light brown hair and baby blue's that match his sons.

This is the moment that I now understand the saying ' cut the tension with a knife'

Blackfoot and Rick are holing one another's eyes in what can only be described as two grown ass men playing the blinking game.

" Hi Liam hi Mr. Draggers" I bark out trying to bring the two back into the here and now.

Rick breaks their contact first and I swear I see Blackfoot smirk like he just won the playschool game. 

 Men always a pissing competition.

" Kiki hi honey how are you holding up?" Rick asks while pulling me into one of his famous bear hugs.

"I'm okay" My new standard reply. Mr. Draggers looks as though he can see right through me but thankfully he doesn't call 'bullshit' on me.

"This is Liam's father Rick Draggers and Rick this is " I freeze. How am I supposed to introduce Blackfoot? Oh hey this is my sperm donor, you know the man that couldn't even stick around long enough to even see me into the world?

" Dad this is Devon Blackfoot" Liam steps in for me.

" Ah yes, well as I'm sure my son has told you I am offering Kiki to stay with me as I already see her as a daughter, if your worried about Kiki and Liam being under the same roof you need not to as Liam is off to U.V in a few weeks states away."

"Thank you for you generous offer but my daughter will be coming with me."

"With all do respect Kierra has just lost her mother brother and FATHER." The word father has Blackfoot's hands balled into fist and clear as day hurt in his eyes. "So why take her away from the only home she has ever known? Away from people who always treated her as family?"

"She has a family, one that is excited to meet her so the decision is made. She goes with me."

I have a family? He cant be serious! They want to meet me? Considering I'm almost 17 they have had a abundance of time to do that before now. Even still I cant help the little girl in me that has always wondered about the other half of who she was.

"She's MINE! You cant just come here and stake claim on someone you never even wanted!" Liam's words make me intake a sharp breath. It's one thing to think about not being wanted but to have them screamed out loud by someone else hurts a lot more then I thought it would.

"No boy she's not yours. Don't tell me I never wanted her when I didn't even know she existed until a few days ago!" Blackfoot screams back. The three men start yelling over one another but all I can hear is ' didn't know' over and over again so much so that my head becomes dizzy and my body is heavy.

"Kierra?" I think its Blackfoot that's calling my name, but all I can manage to say is

" Didn't know I existed?" before I am sucked into darkness.
