"Marcus last I checked I don't need w Alpha's approval to go rogue. So I'm afraid you wasted your time and mine. Now please leave so I can continue to pack and make my calls."

The nerve of Marcus to come into my home trying to keep us here. Or I should say it's to keep his son's best potential here. My fucking daughter!

"Dev I know you don't need my permission what I'm asking is that you and your family do go but not as rogue but as a vacation. That way I can work on the elders on Alex's behalf and the pack won't have to issue challenges for the Beta position."

We've been going around in circles since Marcus came here a damn hour ago. But I just don't give a damn about his needs to make everything easy for him and the pack.

A few weeks ago sure the pack would have been my number one priority, but that flew out the window along with my happy family.

Kiki is no longer snapping at Mikel at every opportunity, but the disconnect is there. Even Alex can see it and well he can't see shit!
My once strong willed brave and intelligent daughter has turned into a shell of her former self.
Mikel, God Mikel second guesses himself at every turn. The never once turn tail wolf is now  going to extreme measures to avoid his sister wolf.

No for once in my life I'm going to put my family before the pack. Maybe if I would have done that  with Shelly and the twins in the first place none of this shit would have happened and The twins would have grown up together and Shelly could very well still be alive.

"Marcus I respect your position and I know you're just trying to do what's best for the pack, but my main priority is MY family and right now I'm needed. So respectfully alpha being a father is more important than being a beta"

Hard eyes stare into mine. My spine is straight no curve or bend to this alpha. My beast will not submit when fighting for his pups!

Marcus sighs runs a hand through his hair all while looking away. 

I just beat this alpha without fists or teeth.

"I wish you luck my friend. Just know there will always be a place for you and your family here. I will NOT release you or Mikel until you know for sure that your family will ALL be excepted into a pack or are happy"

Opening my mouth ready to protest. Marcus just waves his hand.

" I'm not doing this to try and keep you or the twins here, I'm doing this as your best friend since birth. This is so my own piece of mind knowing that all of you will have the safety pf a pack while you're traveling. Also I'm not giving up on allowing Alex in because yes I am selfish and not for the reasons you're thinking. No it's because there has not been a day where you were not on my left and I'm not ready for our era to end."

Nothing else is said. Marcus leaves the same way he came. While I'm standing here with a ghost of a smile on my face . For the first time in weeks I feel the weight of the world lifting from my shoulders.

We are all going to be okay.

Okay so I know it's been awhile, but unfortunately my 3 year old son has been going in and out of the hospital.  Thankfully all the new medications seem to be working and I can update again!

I know this chapter is short but I wanted to get a update out there. So the next chapters will be pretty lengthy. Wooohoooo.
