"Ash go home. Shower and change please. You're stinking up my living room." Lexi says while holding open the front door.

I was moved back home two days ago, after spending four whole days knocked out.  Ash and Mikel have been my shadows ever since I woke up. Don't get me wrong it's sweet of them but they even stand outside the bathroom door while I pee! 

There are these things called boundaries and they have absolutely no idea what they are.

"Ash go rest. Lisa is coming over soon to keep me company and well you look worse than I do. I'll feel better knowing you are taking care of yourself."

"Okay, but I'll be back and when I am we will get some pizza in you and maybe a movie. Yeah?"

"Yes! Out of this house. Hell yeah I'm down."

Everyone has been so helpful and loving these last few days. I mean come on I'm not dying, well at least not anymore.
The only person that hasn't been around much is Blackfoot, and the weird thing is that I'm actually somewhat upset that he hasn't came to talk to me.

"Hey she wolf, hey!" Lisa comes bouncing in.
You would think that a girl like her would rub me the wrong way, but she just kinda grows on a person.
Who knows maybe it's her witch doctor voodoo.

"So, I was thinking we go to the eclipse  pack so you can take a dip in the falls and soak up some of it's healing powers so that you will be able to shift and be ready to start school."

"Healing powers?" Honestly I don't think I'll ever get use to thing of books actually being real.

"Yeah the falls is said to be blessed by the gods. I don't know but I do know it works, and Alpha Cross gave us the green light to be there. So let's go."

"Yeah, no thanks. The last time I was there I ended up almost dying. So it's a hard pass from me, sorry."

Lisa rolls her eyes.  "Come on don't you want to shift?"

So badly I want to. I can feel her restless inside of me. The poison is gone but the damn silver that split my side open has left my wolf helpless in healing me.

"Fine but let's not tell my family where we are going. Mikel would lose his shit if he found out where I am."

Lisa eyes light up at the mention of my brothers name.  She is so in love with him, even while knowing she's not his mate or even a potential. Of course Mikel is completely blind to her feelings.

Or at least I think he is, but what do I know?

Men, they suck. That's what I know!

"Hey Lexi, Lisa and I are taking a walk to stretch my legs."

" be careful and don't over do it."

We make quick work of getting to the falls. Well as fast as my injury will allow me to go.

"It's just up ahead. Are you okay?" Lisa asks. She must have seen the pained expression on my face.

"No. I need a minute."  Pulling up my blood stained shirt confirming that I have in fact busted a good amount of stitches.

"Fuck. I'm bleeding again."

"Kierra?"  Perfect the last person I wanted to see now stands arms length in front of me.  The one that stabbed me. 

The mate that doesn't want me.

"I just brought Kiki here for the falls. Your father okay'd it." 

I'm taken aback by the emotionless tone my hyper friend just used and by the look on Jay's face I can see he is too.

"I know. I just wanted to make sure that Kierra was okay."
