I swear. Could the day go any faster? My head was going crazy trying to figure out whether or not that Ethan was my Ethan?

I mean if he was the Ethan I knew, he definitely didn’t know me, at this point in life. But, at the same time, the only reason I could connect to feeling like I saw his eyes somewhere, is if he was my Ethan.

I walked aimlessly through the cafeteria. Getting cafeteria food, mac and cheese. All slimy and gooey, which pretty much looked not so yummy to eat. So I decided to eat the cucumbers instead. My eyes wandered through the room.

My eyes locking on the table, labeled: ‘Royal Pain In My Butt’.

I could see Ethan with two other guys. One looking bored and rather serious, with brown hair and hazel eyes. While the other played a smile on his lips, a wash of brown hair and blue eyes. And of course those guys could not be without the attention of the group of girls they were evolved with. I didn’t care!

My breath said otherwise, as soon as Ethan’s eyes laid upon my own. My face probably went red by how dumb I was to look at a boy, across the room. Ethan just put on a wider smirk, if that was even possible. He probably knew how dumb I felt right now.

I involuntary, made my way out the cafeteria with rosy cheeks. Throwing out my tray in the process to get outdoors once again. I wasn’t in the mood to eat.

I went ahead and sat on a bench. In a secluded area where a track print was in the middle of the setting. I think it was like a school yard to take a break and get fresh air. A few students appeared to be there.

I took out a book, to read. I managed to get access to a library one of these “alone time”, so now I could finally read my book.

“Hey, Violet” I heard a voice call close to me.

Or not…

I didn’t look up. Because guess what, my name is NOT VIOLET!

“Tulip?” the voice called.

Okay, were they talking to me? Or, what?

I looked up at the guy, with a confused expression marked upon my features.

“ME?” I asked annoyed.

“Yea you, flower girl” Ethan’s voice mocked my annoyance.

“That’s not my name” “What do you want?” I rolled my eyes at him.

“Wasn’t I close?” he smirked.

“Not even” I shook my head disappointed.

“Okay so what is it?” he asked sitting on the bench next to me.

This caused me to slid AWAY from him. “Why do you want to know?” I asked.

“So, how am I gonna ask a girl out, if I don’t know her name?” he asked amused.

“How should I know?” I asked, shrugging. I went back to reading my book.

“HEY ANYBODY KNOW HER NAME!!!” Ethan suddenly started screaming, cupping his hands around his mouth and pointing at me.

We both received stares in the distance.

“What. The. Hell?” I asked through clenched teeth, looking at my book, taking cover. Pretending I didn’t know the boy next to me.

“I gotta figure out your name somehow” Ethan shrugged, looking in the distance.

“You should know!” I snapped looking at him, dead straight on.

“What? Why?” Ethan said with confusion written on his face. Like he was a lost puppy.

I gave a breath out, shaking my head. I didn’t want to talk about the past. It was obvious he didn’t want to talk about the past that had us in it.

“What are you talking about?” Ethan looked eager to understand.

“Nothing” I shook it off. I looked at my book. “Call me Daisy” I answered, like nothing happened.

“Okay… Daisy, can you go out with me to a Halloween party, next friday?” Ethan wagged a brow at me, flashing a smile.

“No” I answered like it wasn’t a question to think about.

We were friends!!! Nothing more!!! I wasn’t about to break that unwritten law in our friendship!!!

I catched Ethan’s face fell at the corner of my eye. I an expression that read: ‘I can’t believe she rejected me!!’ screamed on his perfect features.

I smirked at my victory. Someone has got to put a stop to Ethan’s attention grabbing span. It was getting to his head, thinking he was practically irresistible. Definitely not the kind of Ethan I knew or trusted.
