Yeah, turns out I did have to sit in front of the steps of aunt Jade’s house. She still wasn’t back. Bummer.
*Ring* *Ring*
“Hello?” I answered my phone as soon as I sat on the hard cold concrete steps.
“Hey, Daisy, you home? Or are you having fun with your ex Keith?” Ethan’s voice was filled with sarcasm on the other side.
“Oh, haha. I just ditched him with a slap across the face” I laughed out loud.
“Why?” Ethan almost sounded… worried.
“That lame loser tried to kiss me, like we never had a bad past” I mumbled, ready to be angry again.
“No doubt about it, he’s a jerk” he sighed.
“Right, you know jerks better than nobody else” I teased.
“Sure” Ethan scowled. “Can I come over?” he asked.
“Even if I said no, you’d probably still come” I shrugged.
“You know me so well. See you then!” Ethan said closing his phone.
And not five minutes later, Ethan was sitting next to me on the steps.
“Tell me why, you’re sitting out here?” he asked.
“Aunt Jade left with Molly to get a checkup and wanted me a Keith to probably bond or something” I said looking at the ground.
“And that failed” Ethan said looking at the sky. “So, you want to do something?” Ethan asked.
“Like what?” I narrowed my eyes on him.
“How about we hang out at the skate park?” he asked.
“There’s a skate park here? Since when do you know how to use a skateboard?” I asked in surprisement.
He chuckled at me. “I guess you don’t know everything about me” Ethan pulled a brow up in a mocking way. “Let’s go then!” Ethan said pulling me behind him.
*15 minutes later*
Okay, so there was a skate park. A big ramp in the middle of the area, and 10 boys skating and flipping in the air. I was feeling weird by the amount of boys… and not being able to skateboard at all. Was I gonna embarrass myself?
“Hey guys!” Ethan called out, pulling me after him as he got closer to the ramp.
