“High five girlie!” Carla was holding hand up to get a high five. I stood there looking at her crazy.

“Really, Carla?” I groaned.

“What?” she asked confused. “Are you sad, poor baby-Keith and you got in a fight?” she teased in a baby voice.

I rolled my eyes at her. “Shut up” I deadpanned.

She laughed. “What you did in there is what I call girl power!” she gave me two thumbs up. She was smiling crazy. Looked like she wanted to start jumping next.

“I’m starting to get the impression, you hated Keith from the beginning you met him?” I said out loud.

“Well… since were on the ‘I’m-telling-you-in-the-face’ of things… YEA!” she smiled widely. If she smiled even wider I bet she was gonna need a bigger face.

“Stop smiling like that!” I pointed at her accusingly. “It’s getting creepy” I said truthfully.

She frowned, giving me an unappreciated glare.

“Thank you” I said.

“You should really talk to Ethan now” Carla jumped to a statement.

I almost choked on my spit. “WHAT?” I said out loud in a dragging fear tone, one that I didn’t know lingered in me.

“C’mon you heard me! I said: you should totally start talking to Ethan again!” she started jumping like it was the greatest idea she ever had.

“Um, I don’t think that’s a good idea” I shook my head in argument.

“Why?” she questioned. “I understood when Keith was around, but you guys are done for good! Right?”

I looked at her straight in the eyes. “Of course! But that doesn’t change that me and Ethan-”

Carla held out her finger to stop me from talking and pulled out her white pearl iphone.

“Babe, just walk Ethan to the front of the girl’s bathroom! Thanks babe!” Carla said into her phone then started pushing me out the girl’s bathroom door.

“Babe?” I questioned. “Carla!” I screeched as her hands pushed my waist out the door, completely. “What the hell are you doing now? Who were you talking to?” I asked.

“Saving your life so you end up married and not homeless!” she shot back, waiting by the wall with me.
