I threw on my costume and went to meet Carla. She was wearing a sporty costume. Go figure. With the words “Touch Down 10” across on her sky blue jersey / dress.
“Hi” I said greeting a nervous Carla.
“Hey” Carla looked a bit relieved as she saw me.
“You okay? You look a little… jumpy” I asked concerned.
“Yea, I’m fine. I’m just glad you coming with me, that’s all” Carla reassured. “I’ll drive you there” Carla offered.
On the road to the party Carla kept tapping her finger on the steering wheel.
“Is this your first party?” I asked trying to make conversation, particullary stop her from making an annoying tap sound.
“Oh, no. It’s just my first time going to a party to see a guy” she smiled.
“Who?” I asked.
“Some guy who does sports, I’m sure you don’t know him” Carla reassured nervously.
“Aww, your nervous” I joked.
“Gee, that helps a lot. Is it that noticeable?” she asked worried.
“Don’t worry I’m sure he’ll think it’s cute!” I commented.

So ten minutes later I was at the giant house with a giant Halloween party being administered. In the front I could see a bunch of paper toilet being thrown around on the roof of the house. And clear plastic cups piling in the front on the grass. Gee, it looked fun.
“Where are we going?” I complained walking through hallways and rooms with people on each other or getting in a good mood.
“I’m trying to find him!” Carla shouted over the loud music.
“What’s his name?! I’ll help you look!” I shouted.
She shook her head. “I got this!” she shouted back.
I shrugged, looking around while Carla pulled me along her. After five minutes Carla quitted.
“I can’t find him anywhere” she pouted in anger.
“I’m sorry” I said getting a cup with punch in the kitchen we were in.
