Ethan parked the car in the parking lot and opened my door, like a gentleman.
'Looks and actions can be deceiving, Daisy'
I of course knew what Ethan was trying to do. He was trying to prove he was worthy of being in a relationship with me. I just wondered how long he could convince me or himself.
We eventually ended in a beautifully lit restaurant. Since when did Ethan have money to take me to fancy restaurants?
"Table for 2, please" Ethan announced at the lady who was at the door.
She plastered her best flirty smile and replied a "Sure. Let me show you to your table" and her heels made a rhythm on the carpet and her hips danced uncontrollably. She thought her style of flirting was cute?
When we got to a table that was comfy at the corner of a window, Ethan held out my chair.
"Mi' Lady" Ethan joked in a thick accent. I couldn't help but smile at the gesture.
As we were seated, a waitress that looked about 18 or 19, with brown wavy, silky hair with red highlights, made her way over to our table with menus, looking bored and tired.
But as soon as she got a good look at Ethan her eyes darted and perked up.
"Ethan? That you?" the girl's voice enveloped a foreign accent.
Ethan's head snapped up so quick I nearly blinked twice to make sure my vision was fine.
"Courtney?" he asked.
"No" the girl said with wild eyes now, alerted.
"Carmen?"
"Nope"
"Claire?"
"Guess again" she smiled bitterly.
"Oh! Cassy?"
"It's Chelsea" she stated flatly, both hands were on her hips.
"Right. That's what I was going to say next" Ethan defended with a small faded disappointed smile. Even I knew that was a lame comeback.
"What'cha doing here? I never got that promised phone call back" she stated angrily.
"I promised that? Oh. It's been a pretty busy month for me" Ethan clarified dumbly.
"It's been 2 months, now that I remember" Chelsea's eyes looked like they wanted to turn Ethan into stone and then melt him into a puddle. I didn't blame her if she went through with it, right at this second.
"Well, in all honesty I barely remember what I had for breakfast. That was a long time ago"
"I guess it was long time" she gave a sinister stare and smile. "Who's this?" she turned to me.
I immediately gave her a firm best fake smile, hoping that it would change the tense, murderous mood in the atmosphere.
"Are you his new barbie toy?"
Barbie toy? Was I that beautiful?
"Let me tell you hun. He ain't worth your time. I bet he's gonna get you drunk by paying your hard liquor shots and then he's gonna lure you to the back of his car and then BAM! You wake up not a virgin-"
"Hey!" Ethan butted in. "For your information we are officially in a relationship 1 week and a half! And I did not get you drunk! You came on to me!"
"What?" I blurted, unintended.
"What now?!" Chelsea barked in confusion and madnesses. "You were the who offered to buy me at least five hard shots at the club, where you and your friends went to! And then you practically flirted your way into my pants! And let me tell you, you were my first!"
