Booth sat at his desk and stared at his lifeless phone. He hasn't spoken to bones in 4 days and it was very unusual for her not to have come around to ask about a case or even to call and ask how him and Hannah where working out. He was starting to get worried.

He tried calling her more times than he can remember but she didn't pick up any of them. He sent over 20 messages still no answer from her. He was really worried. He stood from his paperwork that Cullen ordered to be done ASAP and went to the Jeffersonian. Surly bones would have talked to Angela, they where best friends of course she would know something about what happen to bones. Although now that he thought about it he didn't remember bones saying something about a trip she was taking for the weekend, but it's Monday.

He walked to Angela's office in search of the artist. He found her on the sofa looking at her phone with a worried expression on her face. Booth approached the artist with precaution knowing that she was very well able to attack of startled.

"Angela, hey Angela!" he had to shout just to get her to even look his way "have you seen bones around I think she was supose to be back yesterday but she hasn't called me." Angela still had the worried look on her face when she spoke.

"I haven't talked to her and all of my calls are going to voicemail. Booth she never, I mean NEVER sends my calls to voicemail. I'm worried." Angela said shoving her phone in booths face to show prof of all the times the worried bestfriend of the anthropologist called.

"Angela" booth swallowed the lump in his thought " when is the last time you've talked to her? And where did she say she was going?" Angela looked to the FBI agent with fear in her eyes

"I haven't talked to her ever since she left. I think she said she was going to Africa to study some mummified bodies of something. I can call the airport to see if she came back yesterday." she was almost in tears. She was very worried.

"I shouldn't of left her go by her self! Gosh, I'm so stupid. How I could I do that! Oh yea because of Hanna if she would've kept her mouth shut and let me go with her she wouldn't be MIA! Angela call me when you get any information. I need to take a walk." he finished his statement with the slamming of Angela's glass office door.

Booth walked far. Far away from the Jeffersonian. He didn't know where he was going but he kept walking. He stopped at a familiar place. The place brought back so many memory's, some bad some great but most with bones. When He came back from afaganastan they meet right here. Him and bones. He say down on the stone steps and put his head in his hands and just prayed. Prayed that she would be alright. Prayed that if he went to her apartment right now she would be there drinking that special beer that only tasted good when they where with each other.

He stood from his prayers and walked toward her apartment. He grabbed his phone out of his pocket and dialed her number one last time. It ringed and it ringed. He was getting ready to hang up when they line picked up

"Bones? Where are you? Are you hurt?" he was in shock and didn't know what to say.

" Ahh agent Booth. Sorry I haven't been able to answer you calls. I have.. ugh I've been a little busy." Said the smokers voice from his bones phone. His bones.

"You. You are supose to be in jail. Where did you take her?! If you hurt her I will kill you! don't you dare tou- "he was cut off by someone screaming his name behind him. He turned around not aware of what he was about to see.

Booth drew his gun and pointed it straight at his head. Using brennan as a sheiks he placed her frail body in front of his and smirked.

"Take your shot Booth, I'll make sure your bullet is the one that kills her." His voice rang in his ears as he said the words.

" Let her go Sammy. You don't want to do this. Just let her go and put the cuffs on. Or I'll be forced to shoot an you know I won't miss you." His voice was stern but he was on the edge of breaking down and sobbing. Bones had a pistol shoved into her left temple and Booth couldn't get a clear shot at the jackholes face.

"Agent Booth how dare you think I just give up that easy. It's kind of insulting. Really. Here is how it's gonna go down. I'm gonna let Tempe here go but you have to let me go in return. Okay? She isn't hurt bad. Let's just call it even." He lowered his gun to point behind her ear the pulled back the hammer. "Or I can just end her and make you suffer.. Yea I think I like that better." He was about to pull the trigger when Booths Instints kicked in. He fired his weapon and Sammy fell to the ground.

Brennan was bleeding and brused but still managed to run into her partners arms into his loving embrace. He hugged her while lowering her to the ground knowing she was weak and wouldn't be able to stand much longer

"Bones we need to get you to the hospital, hang in there." he was still trying to process what just happened. He picked her frail body up bridal style and carried her to the black SUV and layed her in the back seat because he knew how bad it was hurt her to be sitting up in the front seat. He called in to the FBI all that he was still trying to progress. He cut it short when he arrived at hospital.

He jumped out of the drivers seat and ran to the back seat of the shiny SUV he picked her lifeless looking body carefully from the backseat running up to the hospital door and slinging it open with all his might.

"Help! help someone one she's hurt she needs a doctor." he screamed still holding her body close as possible. "It's okay bones. They are bringing the gurney." He whispered in her ear. He received a slight moan as he layed her down on the white cot holding her hand as the doctors tried to force him away.

"No you can't make me leave her!" he said as a nurse pushed him back. Just making him frustrated, more than he already was.

"I'm sorry sir family only." The stuck up way the nurse said those few words make booths blood boil. So he said the only thing he knew to say

"I'm her husband!" his voice frail at the sound of him basically calling bones his wife. Even thought it wasn't true the nurse seemed to believe it. She motioned him into the room brennan was being moved too. Since she wasn't dying just unconscious the doctor and 2 nurses checked her out while booth say in the chair next to her. There hands never leaving each other. The doctor announced to 'her husband' that she didn't have any broken bones but she did need her rest.

He wasn't even thinking about leaving any time soon even though she was asleep. When she woke up he'd have to be there. He sat back in his seat, hand still connected to bones, and began to call Brennan's friends to explain the news and tell them she is alright. But the last person he forgot to explain everything to was his stuck up girlfriend Hanna he loved her but he loved bones more. Wait did he just say he loved bones?
