Booth was the first to arrive at the restaurant. He had been waiting all day to hear about bones' trip to the foster home. He sat at the bar until he thought 'this isn't a conversation you talk about at a bar' he stood up and motioned the bar keep over.

"Do you have a table for two I can get?" booth was asking politely which made the older man smile.

"Yes, sir. Right this way. Anna will show you to you table." He pointed at a older lady with black glasses and continued his orders of whiskey he had received.

"Hi, I was looking for the table for two." booth taped the lady's shoulder and smiled when she greeted him with a smile also.

"Yes right this way. I assume you are having a date with Dr.Brennan tonight, she's a lucky woman." Booth smiled at the waitresses flirt and began reply when he felt a warm hand on his shoulder. He turned around expecting bones but..

"Hanna? What are you doing here?" he gave her a fake smile. Of course she would ruin it.

"I saw you get dressed up so I thought I could come get a drink while you where gone. What are you doing here?" she was blunt and a bit sassy.

"I'm meeting Bones here tonight. We have a few things to talk about. Privately." He was not going to let Hanna ruin tonight with his bestfriend.

Bones pulled onto the curb of founding fathers, and looked through the barley fogged up glass to see Booth talking to his girlfriend. She sighed. This was suppost to be their night to talk about her fostering a child. That was a big desition to make and she didn't want Hanna to judge her, she knew Booth wouldn't dare judge her in anyway but Hanna, well Hanna was a different story.

She put the car In park and climbed out. She was dressed in a pair of stylish blue jeans with a purple fleece top and her tall black boots that matched her personality perfectly. She walked to the door and sighed. She had to tell Booth tonight but not while Hanna was around.

"Hey Bones!" booth loudly whispered from two table a away he wasn't sitting he was standing face to face with the bouncy blonde. "Come over here. Hanna was just leaving. right hanna?" Brennan breathed a sigh of relief and watched Hanna walk toward the door not even caring to stop and say hello, which Brennan was fine with out. To be honest.

"Hi Booth, Hanna didn't have to go." she lied. She was shocked when he pulled her in for a 'bro hug'.

He pulled first and smiled"Oh I made her leave. She wasn't to happy about it but she left. I just wanted to talk to you in private." She was so happy he was actually wanting to be alone with her. He motioned her to sit down at the table. He took her seat and pulled it out a little for her thin body to squeeze into it.

"Thank you." She was more than thankful for him to do something for her.

The waitress came and took their order and while they where waiting the conversation started up.

"So did you find the one today, bones?" He asked smirky. she smiled at his use of 'the one'.

She looked at him and smiled. "I don't know, there where a few that stood out among the others." by that she meant Piper. She had found the little girl to be just like herself when she was in the similar situation.

Booth gave the sheeky smile he always gave bones. "Oh well. Is there one in particular?" his face more serous now. "I want you to make sure this is what you want bones."

"I want this very much Booth. The way I felt toward the little girl was unreal. I never felt that way before, it felt.. different." She was with a blank expression and Booth new she was gonna get this little girl.

"What's her name?" Booth asked with a little more comforting smile on his face.

"Wait, how did you know that I was talking about a gir-" she stopped herself remembering the statement she had said seconds before. "Oh yea. Well, I don't know her full name but I know her first and last name, Piper Jane." Booth smiled at the adorable name. Brennan noticed and her smile appeared too.

"Bones as long as your happy her first and last name will do. How old is she?" Brennan's smile grew wider as his interest in the soon to be became intense.

"She is only 3, booth and she had already been so much. I could see the look in her eyes the expression on her fac-" she was interrupted by the waitress placing the food ok the table, along with a bottle of sparkling wine.

"Ugh mam, we didn't order this." booth pointed to the wine and smiled.

The waitress smiled brightly. "It's on the house." she winked and left the table. Booth then realized that the waitress thought they where a couple. He wished.

"Okay then. Umm free wine bones?" His smiled became a slight laugh as he poured hisself and his 'date' for the night a glass of the sparkly liquid.

"As I was saying. The expression on her face said her whole story. Mrs.Brock said she had been at the foster home for 5 months. Booth the woman barley knew Pipers name." Her smile had been long gone and it didn't seem to be coming back.

"When are you going back to talk about fostering?" he turned his attention from his steamy plate to talk to bones.

"I was thinking maybe in two days. Are you still able to come?" his face lite up with excitement.

"You still want me to come?" she smiled and gave a slight nod. She looked down at her plate. She hadn't even tooken one look at it ever since it had arrived.

"I would love to come, bones. I would love too." Her smile grew when she looked up at his bright smile spread acrossed his handsome face.

"Okay, wait are you available tomorrow I forgot I had a meeting with a new intern in two days." She apologetically smiled and he waved it off

"When ever you want to go I will be available." She smiled an began on her meal.

He watched her beautiful features as she so slightly moved. Every part of him wished he could just hug her, heck he wished he could kiss her. He knew the feelings she was having toward the small girl where her motherly feelings, he had seen the appear with Parker a few times when he was sick or hurt. He knew this little girl was special. Just like his Bones.
