"Hey Parks, are you ready, bud?"

Booth called through the house, Piper was a breeze to get ready, it being the first time Booth ever dressed her fully by her self.

He had washed the little girl in the bathtub, due to the accident that happened. Surprisingly, Piper didn't fuss when her mom wasn't the one to wash her.

"Yea I'll be out in a second. Mo-Bones said we could go grab a hat from the store on the way there right? I left mine at the other moms house."

Parker almost called bones his mom again, he didn't know what was possessing him to call the anthropologist 'mom' but when he almost did, it felt right.

Booth smirked, he heard Parker's sudden change in names with 'mom' almost slipped out.

"Alright, but hurry so we have more time."

Parker's simple reply came as little foot steps made there way down the hall.

"Daddy, is we about to leave?"

Booth turned to the light voice and bent down to her size.

"Yes, we are waiting on mommy and Parker."

Piper wrapped her little arms around her daddy and kissed his cheek, making booth grin proudly.

"They needs to hurry don't they daddy?"

"I wouldn't rush mommy pie. She gets cranky when you do that."

"Who gets cranky?"

Parker said exiting his room with his sandals in his hand.

"Mommy."

Pipers voice called out a little to loud, making Brennan leave the bedroom in a slight rush.

"What is it baby?"

Brennan's motherly instinks kicking in called to Piper as she reached the opening between the bedroom and lounge.

"Nofing, parka was just asking who gets cr-"

"Hey babe, are you ready to go?"

Booth spoke over Pipers voice, before she could blurt out what booth had repeated to her, he didn't want bones mad at him on such a beautiful day, matter of fact any day.

"Yea I'm ready.."

She was supeous of the off behavior booth was having, but brushed it off as he wrapped his toned arms around we waist and pulled her close.

Brennan smiled as both was inches from her face, Parker grabbed pipers frail hand in his and guided her to the kitchen,

He whispered quietly to confused three year old.

"Piper let's leave them alone for a sec, let's go grab some water for us."

She nodded and followed the boy in front of her.

The day went well. Piper had grown very fond of Parker as he introduced her to a swing set, which she highly adored.

Brennan and booth spent the time watching the kids have a ball before they sat down on a blanket a couple of feet away from the play ground that occupied the kids they so truly treasured.

"So, bones. How do you think Piper is like parks?"

"I think she is adapting well with him, really booth, I mean she has been through a lot in the small amount of time she has lived, and for her to be adapting so quickly to the different changes is mind blowing, figuratively of course, the human mind can not explode unless..-"

Booth cut her off by placing his lips on her, moving swiftly with the movements of Booths lips Brennan placed her hand on his cheek.

"What a nice way of telling me to shut up."

Booth smirked and grabbed her hand.

"Look, they are happy."

Brennan followed his gaze to the two kids giggling on the swing set.

"I know, and for that I am happy."

Booth leaned in and kissed her temple.

"Me too bones, me too."
