The well flew by fast. The way Booth had pampered Brennan that whole week, her suspicious conscious was bugging her blind. He would show up randomly at the Jeffersonian to just bring her a rose, although she wasn't all that fond of flowers she still found that gesture sweet.
Booth sat across the table from his beautiful girlfriend, grinning from ear to ear he placed his spoon down back into his now empty bowl.
"So, Bones I was thinking tonight we take Piper out to eat, maybe pick up Parker from Rebecca's?"
Brennan smiled, her conscious was right.
"What do you have in mind?"
"We could dress up, and head down to Vanellis. Maybe pick up Parker from Rebeca just to have a good dinner."
Brennan smiled proudly, of course she couldn't turn down the great offer. Glancing to the drowsy Piper next to her, she answered booth.
"That would be lovely. What time do you think we should leave? Piper needs a nap."
Pipers head lifted as she heard her name being mentioned.
"At about 7:00 maybe, whenever is fine."
"Perhaps you should call Rebecca while I put Piper down for a nap."
Booth grinned his feeling growing more impatient for what he had planned for tonight, not just the dinner but his plans when Piper went down for the night.
The trio split, Brennan taking Piper into her 'Very Blue' room as Piper had called it just days before.
Booth made his way to the bedroom to place the difficult call. Parker's mom was a handful and booth wasn't looking forward to asking for their shared son for the evening. But Seeley Booth loved his family and a night together was what they needed.
He searched the room for his pants that contained his phone just last night, spotting them in a hamper not to far away he glided to the circular container and pulled his pants from the bin.
The phone was a irritating one. Although Rebecca agreed to let Booth have Parker for the night he had promised to bring him back the next morning, most likely against Parker's will.
The day drifted slowly by as the family had a in eventful resting day. Parker was arranged to be picked up in thirty odd minuets and be brought back to the residence, in an odd way to surprise Piper.
Booths reason for the night was to celebrate many different things, most to celebrate the growing family. Although the anthropologist and the FBI agent had only been together a month or so, their bond was I unbreakable, the kids added to the bond like super glue; never breaking. He had planned to celebrate the gradually building confidence growing in Piper, she had came from having night terrors to sleeping like a infant, from wetting the bed to waking up and pottying on her own, and the parents of the two could not be prouder.
"Hey bones, I'm heading to get Parker. Can you have Pie ready before I get back, it'll be about uh say thirty to forty minutes."
She smiled periodically at him.
"Of course, be safe."
He turned in his sideway position to face her, the love of his life.
"I will babe, I love you."
"I love you too."
Booths smile broke off into grin as he leaned forward and kissed her shady pink lips.
Piper sat in her room playing with her soft hair. She had never been use to having it brushed or even washed, just the feel of the soft dirty blonde curls amazed her.
Brennan ducked into the little girls room and smiled, Piper sitting there examining her ow hair.
"Hey pie, what are you doing baby?"
The little girls attention broke from her hair to be attached to her mom.
"I playing with my hair mommy. It soft."
Brennan smile widened as she made her way to sit by her daughter.
"I know. So what do you want to wear tonight?"
"I wanna wear one of those long shirts."
Brennan giggled making the confused girl to frown.
"Mommy there is nothing funny why is you laughing?"
"Do you mean a dress?"
Piper smiled when she realized the name of the 'long shirts' had been pronounced a dress.
"Yes one of those."
"How about we go pick one out?"
Booth pulled into the drive of the fairly decent two story house. He sighed when he saw the lights in the house where off and the garage was closed.
He climbed out of Brennan's car and made his desperate way to the door, knocking on the door he peered into the side window. No life was to be seen in the house.
When no one came to the door he pulled out his phone and dialed the number.
"Rebecca, where are you?"
"I'm in town why?"
"God, have you already forgot? I need Parker for tonight."
He heard her gasp through the phone and rolled his eyes.
"Where are I'll meet you and pick him up."
"Ugh, down at the solan."
Of course, he thought to himself, why wouldn't she be in town if she wasn't going to go to the solan.
"Okay, stay there. I'm on my way."
"Okay."
He hung up the phone and sail the all familiar number he loved typing, his bones.
"Hey, babe. Rebecca forgot out the evening and is at the solan in town, I have to run and grab him from there. Do you mind grabbing some decent clothes from his closet, we will have to leave as soon as we arrive and he changes."
Bones was trying to catch up on the words flying out of her boyfriends lips.
"Um okay. Piper is already ready and I'm in the process. See you soon."
"See you bones."
He closed the phone and slipped it back into his pocket to make his way to capture his son from the hands of the women he deeply despised. Okay we'll maybe he wasn't going to capture him forever but the night will do.
