Booth was the first to reach the door. He took a deeply needed breath and opened the door.
"Hello, Mrs. Brock. Come in, temperance is with Piper."
The blonde nodded with a smile full of pure carelessness.
"I hope you both are still please with Piper. I have great news but that will have to wait to after the meeting with Piper."
Booth smiled at her use of Piper instead of her usual 'the child', he motioned for her to follow him to the kitchen.
Parker had escaped to his room and was currently browsing the internet for the up to date video games.
Booth opened the kitchen door door, he held it open allowing Mrs.Brock to enter. Awaiting them was Piper with a glass of water, and Brennan with a glass of coffee for the blonde, booth, and herself.
"Hello, Mrs.Brennan, hi Piper."
Mrs.Brock finally spoke. She had the smile that wasn't looking so fake now.
"Hi, would you like some coffee, Mrs.Brock?"
"No thank you, Piper are you ready to talk?"
Piper looked to her mommy with a expression that almost made Brennan want to pour tears. Brennan slowly nodded and gave her daughter a smile.
Piper turned her attention back to the lady and nodded shyly.
"Seeley and I will be in the lounge room if you need us."
She leaned down and kissed her daughters forehead. She quietly whispered in her delicate ear
"If you need me pie, just come get me. Okay?"
Piper nodded, understanding her mommy noticed how nervous she was.
Brennan walked over to booth and took his hand, before exiting she took a glance to see Mrs.Brock sitting down across for Piper, her notebook already to be written in.
"Booth how do you think she's going to be?"
Booth could tell Brennan was just as nervous as he was, but to spare her feeling he told her the truth.
"I think she will be fine, in a lot of ways bones she resembles you."
Brennan took this as a compliment and smiled, she was the one that wasn't use to compliments, she felt the heat rise to her usually pale cheeks.
"I haven't noticed. I just hope this meeting won't take long, she looked so scared booth."
He wrapped a protective arm around his girlfriend and kissed her head.
"Hey, Piper is like you, she will be strong. She is the smartest three year old I have laid eyes on, and bones, she has made so much progress over the last two weeks I can't even believe it."
She let out a small smile, she two had noticed the progress her daughter had made and knew if it wasn't for Booth showing so much love toward Piper, the little girl might of never warmed up toward men, recalling her history with grown men.
"I know. Thank you booth, for being here for her. For us."
He kissed her head once more, letting a smile creep onto his lips when he smelt her cherry shampoo.
"No need for thanks bones, I love you."
"I love you too."
Piper sat with her fingers tied together, the blonde across from her was rustling papers of all kinds.
"Okay, how are you doing Piper?"
At first Piper wouldn't speak she just sat with tears rimming her eyes. Mrs.Brock had noticed the child's fear, different sanerisos passed through her mind, the one that stuck out most was the child had a fear that she was there to take her away.
