A nurse at the hospital wrapped up my arm for me before I went in to see Rashad. His mom interrogated me about me, Trip, and Ty's whereabouts and I knew Rashad would do the same. I tiptoed in the room seeing watching TV.
"Hey Rashad" I talked lowly
He snapped his head around to me and a big ass smile came across his face "Amour"
I walked beside his bed kissing him and holding his hands "How you feeling?"
"Like shit" He chuckled "Nah I'm in some pain though"
He eyed my arm "When that happen?"
"We can talk about it another time" I told him sitting down "Baby how are you taking things?"
He leaned back "I can't believe they took my dawg off this Earth man. I just can't wrap my head around it. We were just laughing and joking and now he's dead"
I nodded "Life happens so fast"
He sat up "Soon as I get out this stupid ass hospital, I'm finding out who did this!"
Well I beat you to that.
I pushed him back down to lay down "Calm down. Your not doing any of that. When you get out we're focusing on you getting better. That situation could've went left and you could be dead too. So let's just be grateful that your not and just lay low"
He sighed "That was like my fucking brother Amour"
"I understand that. But-"
"I'm killing whoever did this shit A" he cut me
"You really don't have to do-"
He cut me off again "Nah really I do. Ant would do the same for me"
I sighed "Rashad I already did it"
"Did what?" He asked confused
I rubbed my temples "Got the people who did this"
He sat up looking at me squinting his eyes "Your lying"
Oh how I wish I was now. I feel like a lil ass kid getting ready to get cussed out by their parents.
I shook my head "No I'm not. I-I-I couldn't wait. Once Ant died and you were still in a coma my blood boiled."
He looked at me listening intensely.
"I called up my father, got some information back from him. I told Ty and Trip and they were down to ride."
"Who was it?" He asked
"Jessi"
His nostrils flared "Continue"
"When we had gotten everything set up, I had gotten a text from a random number. Jessi had broken into my mother's home and sent me a picture of her holding Noel. I went crazy, like old Amour."
"And did what Amour?" He asked clearly upset
I sighed playing with my fingers "I maybe sorta kinda killed Jessi and her cousin and had the guys kill some other people"
He looked at me like I was crazy "What the fuck Amour?! Yo! You are the mother of my child! You can't be pulling this dumbass shit! What if 12 would've pulled up on yo ass?!? I would've gotten the shit handled when I got better!"
"She put a bullet in you, killed one of your best friends and touched my child and you expected me to sit on the sidelines and let shit ride until you got better?!?!" I said getting mad "Nah Rashad. That shit needed to be handled and it needed to be done now."
I guess he could see how upset I was so his face went from a very serious scold to his regular resting face.
"When you are somebody I protect, you don't get blood on your hands. You understand me?" He said
I nodded.
"I'm prepared to get caught up in some shit and all that. But YOU, you keep your hands clean. I got you and Noel." He said looking me dead in my eyes
I nodded again not knowing what to say back.
"Now come here" He scooted over patting his bedside
I kicked off my shoes climbing on the bed cuddling up beside him.
"I appreciate you handling business killa" he chuckled lowly "Just don't want you getting caught up"
I nodded "I know Rashad"
He kissed my forehead and we laid there in silence watching the TV. I drifted off into sleep as Rashad rubbed on my back.
///The Next Morning
"Amour get up" I heard Rashad whisper
My eyes jumped up because I thought something was wrong. I sat up looking around.
"Calm down" His mom said with a smile "Rashad can go home now"
I put my hand over my chest calming down, I rubbed my eyes.
"You were sleeping heavy. The nurses came in and changed his bandages. We have talked. And you slept through all of that" She said chuckling
I stretched "I had a long day yesterday"
I got out the bed putting on my shoes. I grabbed my over night bag going into the room bathroom brushing my teeth and washing my face.
"Ready to go?" I asked Rashad who was watching me from the door frame
He nodded "Yeah"
I grabbed my stuff throwing it in my big bag. I put it over my shoulder.
"Rashad sit your ass in the wheelchair" his mom scolded him
He sucked his teeth "I don't need to be wheeled out in that thing. I can walk just fine"
They argued back in forth until his mom gave in. Rashad leaned on me and I helped him out the room and out to my truck. I climbed in and drove to the condo.
"Where's Noel?" He asked
"My mom has her at the condo."
He nodded "Okay cool"
I pulled into the garage, and helped him out to the elevator. Once we got to the condo I led him to the couch.
"MA! We're home!!" I yelled
She came walking downstairs with Noel in her arms.
"Hello you two" She greeted us "How you feeling Rashad?"
"Much better now that I'm home, I'll be back to normal in no time" He assured her
I went into the kitchen to prepare dinner and my mom and Rashad talked for awhile before she left.
