It had been weeks since Trip told me Zonnique was behind all this pain. I sat back in the chair with my chin in my hand just staring off into space listening to the sound of Amour's machine beep.
I haven't slept since Trip told me that shit. I can't and won't sleep till she's dead. She don't even know what's coming to her. Imma do her so dirty man. When i get my hands on Zonnique. Only God can save her.
Taking care of Noel has been a challenge but she's growing up so fast. She's saying "mama" and "dada" And is even saying other stuff. She even took her first steps in the hospital room. Amour has missed all of that. The doctor keeps saying there's going to be progress but I just don't wanna wait.
I leaned over grabbing her hand "Amour, baby you gotta wake up. If not for me, then for Noel and your mom"
I could feel my face getting hot "Please Amour. Beat the odds, wake up out of this coma. I know your strong enough to do it"
I felt a single tear roll down my face i put my head down just praying "Please God, Please"
I felt Amour's grip around my hand tighten. I jumped up not knowing if I was tripping again or if she really did that.
I grabbed her hand again "Baby! Can you hear me? If you can hear squeeze my hand again"
A second went by before she tightened the grip on my hand again.
"Come on baby, wake up. Open you eyes, Letmme see those beautiful brown eyes" i pleaded
I press the button for the nurse to come and just as I did, Amour's eyes fluttered open. She squinted at the sight of the bright lights.
"Baby" i hugged her rubbing her back "Thank you God! Thank you!"
The nurse and doctor ran in "What's happening?!" They yelled
"She's awake" I said with a smile
I backed away letting them check her vitals and machines. I called her mom and texted everyone else. Once the doctors left I sat down in the chair beside her holding her hand. She just stared at me.
"Amour, I'm sorry" I said shaking my head "I'm so sorry for not protecting you from this"
"Shhhhhhhh" she sh'd me "I heard you say all this already"
"You did?" I asked
She nodded slowly "I could hear everything"
I leaned over kissing her forehead "I love you Amour"
"i love you too Rashad"
I wanted to ask her about the accident but was unsure on how she'd react. I just knew I had to break news to her that would hurt her so bad.
