"Rashad your child is sleep and if you wake her up with this loud ass music, I'm literally gonna kill you" Amour joked as she walked downstairs
I was listening to the music mixes that the DJ for the club sent over to make sure all the music was lit.
I patted the seat beside me "She sleep like me, she ain't gonna hear shit. Come here"
She came and plopped down leaning her head on my shoulder.
I rubbed her back "You seem stressed. What's wrong?"
She ran her fingers through her hair "We go to court tomorrow for Ariel. With everything that has happened, I'm super nervous that my day with the police will mess it up for us"
"You guys are gonna win. The police did not charge you with anything. Ariel will be with you guys" I assured her
Her bottom lip poked out "I don't wanna be the one to have messed this up for her. I just want her in a safe environment"
"Baby don't worry. It'll all go smoothly. I'll go with you tomorrow for the extra support" I told her
She gave me a small smile "Thank you Rashad, I appreciate that"
///The Next Day
"Does this suit my butt look big?" Amour asked as she bent down to put her heels on
I grinned "Baby your butt looks nice in everything"
She chuckled rolling her eyes "Shut up"
I buttoned up my shit and went to open the door as the doorbell rang.
"Wheeeeeere is my godbaby at?" Talia asked walking into the house
"Good morning to you too T" I said shutting the door behind her
She waved me off and hugged Amour "Good morning mamas, looking good in that suit"
Amour grabbed her purse "Thank yaaaaa. She has bottles in the refrigerator, diaper is freshly changed, she might be a bit cranky when she wakes up."
"Okay" Talia nodded "Good luck in court"
"Thanks hun" Amour hugged Talia one last time before heading out the door with me
We drove to the court in silence. We walked in getting our directions to which court room we were in, as Amour grabbed the door I pulled her back.
I kissed her forehead "Stop shaking. Everything is going to turn out for the best. Y'all got this"
She nodded and walked inside. I sat in the back and watched her as she walk up to the front by her mom and lawyer. Her heels clicked on the tile floor. Amour could turn heads anywhere we went, she was truly beautiful.
