September 27th

We see each other. Toby does his goofy smile, and I smile back at him, a real smile. We stand far away but so close. He is at the back of the live music and I'm upfront. He makes his way toward me. My stomach starts to turn.

"Hi." Toby simply says then smiles at me again.

"Hi." I giggle.

He is so cute! I will never get over how much I love this guy.

"Want to dance?" He asks as the band starts to play a slow song.

"Sure, let me put my sweet tea down." I make sure I say it's sweet tea so he doesn't get any ideas. I find a trash can fast, it of course has white flowers all over it.

I walk back over to Toby. He sticks one hand out. We dance to the song, "Tenerife Sea" by Ed Sheeran. We dance, or attempt to at least. He is pretty good, but I've never danced like this before.

"You look pretty." He is such a romantic sap.

"Thanks, you too." Why did I say that? Why am I so nervous.

"Is that a good thing?" He asks running his hand through his hair.

"Yes it's good, trust me you look good." I'm being so awkward!

We laugh at my awkwardness. This is great. Before I'm ready that song is over. I was expecting us to stop dancing but we don't. He pulls me in, we dance closely. I lay my head on his shoulder. Fast song, slow dancing.

"I still love you." My love says in the sweetest voice.

"I still love you too." I look up at him.

"Will you try not to beat my boss up?" He asks laughing.

I laugh with him. "That depends."

We dance with no words being said. I don't know how long it's been. Can he hold me like this forever? If I were to die right now, that would just be alright.

My mom and sister interrupt my perfect moment. I lift my head up, let go of Toby and turn around when my mom taps on my shoulder.

"It's time to go." My sister states.

I look back at Toby. I see in his eyes he doesn't want me to go either.

"I'll drive her home." Toby finally says.

My mom gives me a look.

"No, I'm sorry but I don't know you, and I don't think she knows you either." I hate my mom.

"I know him." I say looking back at him then back at her.

"How long have you known him?" My mom is pushing it.

"I met him in rehab, I know him."

"That's perfect, you met him at a rehab." She says gesturing at him.

"I will be home in a little bit. I'm eighteen, I'm an adult." She can't tell me what to do.

My mom and sister walk off.

I look up at Toby. He pulls me in once again, and go back to dancing. I have never been happier. He dance for about ten more minutes.

"Alice Stark." A stern mans voice says from behind me.

I turn around, it's a police man. I look back at Toby, his eyes are wide.

"Your under arrest for having drugs on you." The police says while putting handcuffs on me.

"I don't have drugs on me. You can look everywhere." I say with an attitude.

"You have the right to remain silent." The fat cow says while trying to get my other hand cuff in.
