October 30th
"Alice wake up. You told me you had to be out of here by ten. It's nine, and I thought you would need time to get ready." Rachel wakes me.
I open my eyes and sit up quickly.
"Here take this." She hands me a pill.
"No, I don't get hungover." I shake me head.
I stand up from Rachel's bed.
"Thank you so much for everything." I grab my makeup bag.
She just smiles at me and continues to search through her closet.
After I take a shower, brush my teeth, get dressed, and brush my teeth I still don't feel like going to talk to some kids.
I wonder if Lexi stayed the night at Toby's apartment, or if she saw my clothes strung across the floor, or if he touched her the same way he would touch me. Start out at the neck, then slowly move his way down.
"Where are you going exactly?" The thoughts are shoved to the back of my mind. I find myself pouring vodka into cup.
"Just have to go talk to some people." I take a drink. Not enough to calm my nerves.
"I will just call you a cab then." She gives me a weird look. "Write down the address before you forget it." She gives me a pen and paper.
I start writing it down.
"Are you sure you can show up drunk?" She is worried about me. Toby probably hasn't worried about me at all.
"Positive." I answer hesitantly. I put the bottle of vodka in my bag. I will just take this with me.
"I'm done drinking right now. I don't need a cab. Thank you again." I walk out the door.
My heels click on the concrete. I get into my car and check my phone. Toby hasn't even texted me. I start my car and drive to the rehab.
When I pull in the parking lot I see Toby's car. I hope he knows what he is doing. I'm angry, so angry and him. I'm so angry I can't even be sad. I take the bottle of vodka out of my bag. I drink it. I didn't drink all of it, but I drank enough to make me drunk, but not too drunk. I still know what I'm here to do. Kill Toby. Not kill him, but teach him a lesson.
I stumble out of my car, and make my way to the door. I open the big, brown heavy doors. Now where do I go? I look at a blue sign. I think I where the arrow is pointing.
"Alice I'm I'm so glad your here!" My sponsor chimes. Toby is sitting in a chair in front of a bunch of teenagers.
"Yeah you too." I slur. She gives me a confused look when she notices I am drunk. I'm going to act more drunk than I am just to make people mad.
"Such a great roll model." One of the kids say sarcastically.
"Maybe you should go sit with them." My sponsor motions toward them.
"No I am going to tell my story." I take the microphone from her.
"Alice what are you doing?" Toby stands from his chair. He looks so handsome.
"I am going to tell my story."
"You smell like vodka." He points out the obvious.
"Yeah it helps when your boyfriend is sleeping with someone else at the moment." I say close to the microphone. They all looked up.
He tries to grab it from me, but I run up to the stage. I trip a few times, but make it.
"I'm going to tell you my story. That's my boyfriend, so when I say Toby picture him." I point towards him. "I lied to him about my story. Now he is going to hear the real one." A hurt look flashes on his face. Toby storms up the stairs. "I'm so drunk!" I yell before he carries me off stage. "Glad I made a good impression." I tell Toby.
