13. Back To Safe Haven

"Welcome home!" Jane squeaked out excitedly as soon as I stepped inside the pack house.

I was engulfed by Chase making it difficult to breathe.

"Can't breathe?" I said panting.

"Sorry, I just missed you baby sis" he pulled away from the hug and ruffled my hair.

Ethan was the second person to hug me but it was gentle. He soon pulled out of the hug and put me in an arm's length and sized me up and down.

I raised my eyebrows at him, giving him a blank stare, unable to comprehend his actions.

"You look well. You have grown up. You got muscles" he said and punched my arms.

I just shrugged at him. It was normal to have a bit of a muscle with all the training I have undergone.

"I trained hard you dumbo. Obviously, I was going to have some" I retorted back at him.

"Whatever, I am just glad you're back home," he said and gave me a side hug.

Soon, mom and dad, John, and  Joseph, all took turns in welcoming me. 

I was then ushered inside to the living room. I sat on the couch with Jane and Chase on my either sides.

"So what's new?" I asked no one in particular.

"We have good news!" mom exclaimed as she sat down opposite from me, with dad beside her and Ethan next dad.

John, Joseph all followed suit and sat on the love seat next to Jane.

"Okay? I am curious now" I replied eyeing mom suspiciously.

"Alex is coming back home" she squealed in happiness.

"Really?" I asked in shock.

I didn't expect him to be back soon. It surprised me, yet I was excited to meet him. Maybe because I have heard so much about him or because he is the Alpha.

Whatever it is I couldn't wait to meet him.

'I can't wait either' Scar piped in.

Okay, that's weird. She always sulks when she hears she is going to meet new people and here she is getting hyped about meeting our Alpha.

'What's up with you girl?' I asked

'Nothing, I am just excited to meet our Alpha' she replied and shut me out.

I was skeptical now.

Something is definitely off about her behavior.

"Are you alright?" Chase snapped his fingers before my face to get my attention.

"Yeah, I am. Just had a talk with Scar" I replied.

"Guessed it since you zoned out" Chase replied grinning at me.

"Did you inform Trent you reached?" Ethan enquired.

"Yeah I mindlinked him as soon as I entered the pack territory"

That was one of my abilities. I could mindlink anyone even outside the pack. I didn't need to have a pack bond or mate bond to talk to them. All I have to do is think about that person and voila! It is because the white wolves are the protectors of the whole wolves community all over the world.

It connects me to every single wolf on this planet. But since I am still evolving it takes time and for now, only four packs, namely; Black Stone Pack, Mountain Ash Pack, Nightfall Shadow Pack, Hollow Angel Pack knows about me being the white wolf.

It was for my safety. Till I learn and have control of my powers, I am prone to get attacked by rogues as I am being targetted. My mind reeled back to the day I shifted for the first time. The day I got to know the big secret of the white wolf.
