9. Blood, blood and blood!

"What the hell happened in here?" I asked as I stepped into the room.

The room was thrashed, completely destroyed.

I gasped in shock.

My first thought was that he might have destroyed in anger, but the look on his face told me otherwise.

"Caiden?" I whispered.

He tore his gaze from the room to me.

"Hey, is he in there?" Trent asked while coming inside the room.

But as soon as he saw the state of the room, his eyes became red, in rage. 

"What the hell happened here?" his voice boomed, the power oozing out of him.

His wolf was coming out.

"Trent, you need to calm down," I said, holding his hand in order to comfort him.

"She is right" Caiden broke the silence.

"We don't know who did this? And why they did it? And why me?" He asked confusion laced in his voice.

"I know. But there must be some clues" I voiced out my thought and went to look around the room.

I could see the bed was torn and the bed was flipped. All the items were smashed and almost it was difficult to salvage anything from this mess. 

The window was also smashed which means whoever did this wanted something in return and more importantly, this was to warn us. But what? I wondered.

I walked to the bathroom and noticed the same had happened inside also. But something caught my eyes. There was something written on the mirror in blood.

Seeing this I screamed and soon Caiden and Trent rushed in. 

'I will take away your precious mate, Alpha Caiden. Just like Alpha Alexander lost his mate. Save her if you can. - J'

Seeing this Caiden started growling, the thought of his mate getting hurt made him furious.

Soon others rushed in too and all started getting angry seeing the message.

"Does that mean Alex's mate was murdered?" Ethan growled.

"What is happening?" Dad came pushing through the crowd and soon as he saw the message he started giving out orders.

"It smells like a rogue" 

"I want the trackers' out and searching every nook and corner of the pack. If there are any rogues, bring them straight to the cellars. I'll deal with them personally. Chase, Ethan should go with the warriors to the border and make sure everything is safe. Caiden and Trent can assist me in talking to the other Alphas around and find out if they had any incidents recently" dad barked out orders and soon everyone set into motion.

Surprisingly Caiden was calm. It made me anxious, yet worried for him. And suddenly I felt sympathy for Alpha Alexander. I hope he takes it well when he gets to know this news.

"Dad, what do I do?" I asked curiously. 

I am surprised he hasn't told me to go with any of the groups.

"I want you to pack your stuff.  As soon as we finish talking with the Alphas, you are leaving with Trent and Caiden. I want you to be safe. And they need to go back since their packs might have attacks." he explained.
