So, letter from the author here, sorry this is later than usual, but hey, I have a life outside of the fic, so don't murder me... and I'm gonna break away from the CipherXMcBlaire story here a little to add some flair/conflict/action to the book that will last two-three chapters. Marceline belongs to Frederator Studios and Angel is my friend Frederik Bjørkmann's AT OC. I do not own either. Anyway. Enjoy the crossover! Love you guys, nanoda~!

Saige's POV:

I was kicked back in my couch with a book. It was raining heavily outside, a nice break from the sweltering hot summer weather they've had here lately. The pitter patter of the water on my roof was soothing and refreshing. I looked out, watching droplets roll down the glass of my window.

Suddenly, there was a booming crash from outside. I dropped the book, leaping off the bed and screaming. Then I stopped. I'm such a baby, screaming at loud noises. Then I laughed, grabbing my hoodie and slipping it over my head to keep off the rain and stepping outside, my hands in my pockets.

The torrent of rainwater drenched me through in seconds. My hair plastered to my face. So much for the hoodie keeping the rain off. I looked around my cabin, seeing nothing out of the ordinary. I was about to write it off as thunder and go back inside when I saw something on the roof. Two dark figures seemed to be struggling against the wind.

I wasn't sure if they were worth saving or not, but my first instinct was to help them.

"Hold on!" My eyes glanced from the windowsill to the gutter and up to the shingled roof before I decided on a safe route to the two strangers' positions. I braced my hands on the windowsill and pushed up to grab the gutter and swing onto the roof. The metal of the gutter was slippery from the storm and I almost fell, but I caught myself just in time and ended up safely on the roof.

Wait. I'm on the roof. In a thunderstorm.

Well this is brilliant. I'm up here, about to get myself electrocuted, and I just now realized the danger I'm putting myself in. My gaze flickers from the ground below me and the strangers ahead. Well, too late to leave them now. I ducked down and crawled to the two people.

"Well, what the heck are you two doing up here in the middle of a storm? It's like a hurricane out here."

The two figures turned out to be a black haired girl and a man with a beard. They were looking at me strangely, and they didn't reply.

        "You guys can speak right?"

        No response.

"Okay, whatever, I have to get you guys down." The wind and rain was so intense that I could hardly see the muddy grass below. I hoisted the girl down and the man followed her without my help. I considered jumping to the ground, but I didn't want to risk slipping on the wet grass and decided to play it safe, taking it slowly.

My feet finally touched semi-solid soil again, and I forced the door open, waving the two people inside. They exchanged a glance before rushing inside to escape the storm. I followed eagerly, pulling the door shut behind me. The sound of the rain died down a little.

"Wait here." I ran upstairs and grabbed two spare wool blankets from the closet and then dashed back to the main floor, handing one to each of them. The quickly wrapped themselves up, and then we just stood there, staring at each other.

A few minutes passed, and then I said, "So... you guys have names, or...?"

The girl spoke, "I'm Marceline, you can call me Marcy, and this is Angel." Angel looked at me, skeptically. It was obvious that these two were confused, and they definitely didn't trust me.
