Chapter 48

Christmas with Andrea was more than I could even dream of.

It snowed lightly all day, which of course is a bit normal for this time of year in Northern California. That's one of the reasons I'm glad we live north of Redding, California, because it still snows and you can travel west to the beach anytime you wish to. Andrea was delighted to see the snow when we left the bed Christmas morning. My mom took us all to Christmas mass before we could do anything else but it was nice to sit with Andrea like a family once again. All I could focus on was her bright eyes stealing glances at me.

We spent an hour in the snow. I helped her make a snow angel and let her win at the snowball fight. But I'll never admit it to her. The rest of the afternoon was spent drinking hot cocoa and watching a bunch of Christmas movies together wrapped up in a blanket on the couch.

The dinner my mom provided was absolutely perfect. We ate until I felt as if my belt would explode but it was all worth it. I had almost forgotten what a great cook she was, Gemma helping as well. After we all cleaned the kitchen it was finally time to open our presents. I had gotten Andrea three plane tickets to go to London, England whenever we pleased. Of course she was more than happy, and cried a bit because of it. I knew she had always wanted to visit and it was the perfect chance for us.

That was yesterday.

Today was spent only relaxing together. The baby was due anytime now and I had already prepared everything for our trip to the hospital. I had the baby bag filled to the brim and Andrea and I had spent an entire day decorating the baby's nursery. She was reluctant to find out the baby's gender without me but my mom persuaded her, telling her that I would want to know if I came back to them. And I'm glad she did. Because I got to decorate my baby girl's nursery.

Yeah that's right. The seemingly modern nursery is all ready for my second princess to arrive. I have to be the luckiest man alive to not have just one special girl, but soon to have two.

I'm woken up by Andrea stirring slightly and sitting up. I'm an even lighter sleeper nowadays since I have to be ready for anything and everything. Andrea sits up slowly and I sit up beside her. "What's wrong baby," I ask.

"My water broke," her eyes widen as they meet mine and a smile crosses my face. Oh my go- "Let's get you to the hospital." Andrea groans in pain but nods her head. Seeing her like this pains me to know end but I can't show her that. I slowly help her stand up and slip some Toms on her feet. I'm glad we're actually where clothes as I help her down the stairs with the bag in my hand. "Mom, Gemma," I shout. Gemma comes rushing to meet us by the door and my mom follows just a bit slower. "What is it Harry?" Andrea groans again, squeezing my hand slightly in hers. "Oh, sit her in the car and stay with her. We'll be right out," my mom smiles and rushes back upstairs with Gemma to change really quick while I help Andrea into my car.

I put the key in a turn the car on before I climb back to sit next to Andrea. Halfway through the ride to the hospital her contractions I think is what my mom called it, were far enough to be admitted to the hospital. This is actually happening. "Babe you're gonna be fine," I whisper in her ear as we walk into the hospital. "I love you Harry," she smiles up at me even through her pain.

"I love you princess. I'll be right here the entire time." The doctors set Andrea into a wheelchair and send my mom and Gemma to the waiting room. "Are you the father," one of the doctors asks me as I stay next to Andrea. "Yes," the word father causes a wide smile to grace Andrea and I's lips. "Okay. I expect you'll want to be next to her yes?" I nod and Andrea grasps my hand tightly. I wince slightly but continue to hold her hand. There's no way I'm not supporting her, knowing what she's going through at the moment. The doctor only laughs and continues to help her onto the hospital bed.

"Harry," Andrea's voice raises as does her strong grip on my hand. I gasp but keep my cool. "It's okay baby, you're doing great." I kiss her now sweaty forehead lightly and the doctor readies everything in the room. "Okay Andrea I need you to push," the doctor encourages. Andrea lets out a yell but I assume does what the doctor says. I whisper words of love and encouragement to her the entire time.

What seems like hours later the doctor has cleaned up our baby girl. The doctor lies her down in Andrea's arms and quickly leaves the room after our thanks and telling to withhold sex for another three weeks so she can heal.

Dammit. But anything is worth the sight in front of me.

Little Darcy Ann Styles in Andrea's arms. Born December 27th, at 4:02 am.

I almost want to cry. I've waited for this for so long. We've been through so much and I know it's not even over yet. The court has still not released a verdict for Dylan. Andrea and I are both still diagnosed with depression, that won't go away. And we aren't even married yet. But seeing Andrea with our precious little baby in her arms gives me more hope than ever. And I know we won't quit.

Her bright green eyes shine when they open and Andrea smiles up at me. "She has your eyes," she beams. "And the bright blonde hair you had before it started getting darker," I smile back. Our perfect little baby.

Andrea's P.O.V

This was a long time coming. But seeing Harry and I's baby girl in my arms shows me that it is all more than worth it. "Hey baby girl," I whisper when her bright green eyes open once again. "I'm your mommy, and this is your daddy," Harry lies next to me on the bed and wraps his arms around me gently. "Hello love," he whispers before kissing my cheek. Exhaustion fills my frail body and I lie my head on his shoulder. "Why don't you get some rest love," I nod smiling and Harry carefully picks Darcy up out of my arms. "I'll never let anything hurt you baby girl. I'll be here to protect you from everything. Especially boys." I laugh a bit at Harry's statement before I drift off into a perfect sleep.

"Andrea babe, it's time to get dressed so we can leave." Harry kisses my lips when I don't open my eyes and I immediately move mine against his, causing him to smile brightly. I open my eyes to find Harry dressed already in his skinny jeans and white tank and jacket. Darcy is in the baby carrier on the couch next to me and Harry laughs. "You've been asleep all night babe. I had to learn how to strap her in all by myself. I think I pinched my finger more times than I actually had to buckle something." I laugh loudly and Harry helps me up. My legs are still a bit weak, and my body is sore, but nothing that I can't handle. Harry hands me a pair of sweats and his Packer's sweatshirt before kissing me once again. I reconnect our lips one last time before I go get dressed.

Harry already has Darcy dressed in a onesie that he picked out himself. It says 'I already found my prince. His name is daddy.' My heart swelled when I saw it and Harry insisted we but it. Her pink baby sweats match perfectly with the hat on her head, making me want to applaud Harry for getting all of the ready by himself. I slip on a pair of converse that Harry bought me to look just like the ones he always wears and go back over to him. "Good morning Hazza," I wrap my arms around him and his arms embrace me in return. "Good morning my princess," something is placed on my head. I look up to see the flower crown I had once given to him adorning his head, and I know that the tiara is on my own.

I connect our lips softly before thanking him for everything. Everything really begins to hit me. I'm a mom now, and Harry is my baby's dad. Then last thing we need to do now is plan our wedding, and we'll be an almost perfect family. But our family will always have love, so little things like depression will not make a dent in us anymore, I swear it. I bring my braid over my shoulder before grabbing Harry's hand. He hold Darcy's carrier in his other hand as we walk to the checkout. I suppose Harry sent Anne and Gemma home to get some sleep during the day. It isn't until I look outside that it is late at night once again. I must've slept through the day, but I for one think I deserved it.

"I love you Harry," I blurt out as we drive home with Darcy in the back. Harry smiles and grabs my hand, intertwining our fingers over the center console. "I love you Andrea. So unbelievably much."

** a/n so she had her baby yay! I've literally had the name Darcy Ann in my mind since I was seven for if I have a baby girl, so I thought I would use it for my story as well. I really hope you enjoyed this chapter and the ones to come!

Much love xx
