The pounding of the drums
Thousands of marching feet
Weapons of war
Brought near peace
-
And the hawk flies high above
Dancing down,
Dancing low.
Flying right over the warriors
-
And a single dagger
Clutched in talons
Brought down
To the earth
-
And suddenly,
a shape transformed
A fire lit
A sky a burn.
-
Cloaked in robes of green and brown
Silver eyes, Golden bow
She dances through the soldiers
With swords of bone
-
Guardian, Protecter
Whatever her name
She stands of the cliff tops
And defends her home
-
And the gateway of life
The portal of hell
The Vally of peace
The mountains of death
-
She defends it all
The wild, the pure
Guarding the place
Where magic runs.
