Blowing snow though the air
The cold flakes of ice
Hitting my cheek

Blowing snow through the air
Whipping through the trees
Across the hill

I see the light of a fire
But the flames dance far way
And to reach them is dangerous

Blowing snow through the air
Blasting through the woods
Howling through my ears.

Perhaps it is an illusion
Born of swirling snow
And the light of the rising sun
