The song of summer long ago
Speaking up against the snow
Bringing back a hint of light
On this dark winter night
The thousand stars are ice cold
That the winter be so bold
As to cover the land in ice
Before the nights grow to twice
So now summer's had her say
She's now gone to another day
Now the winter has the reins
As the moon softly wanes
So she comes back with triple force
Who knew that winter was this coarse
Frozen trees, still with leaves
A deadly winter she now weaves
