A/N So I don't know if I should be giving like a cast for Ash's parents and other OCs or just leaving it to your imagination. What do you guys think?

Luke
I was starting to get worried. Ashton hadn't been to school in almost two weeks. I sent Calum around to his house to check if he was alright, him and Ash seemed to have bonded when I sent him over. Calum said he was fine and that he just needed a little time to himself. Which translated to I had made him feel uncomfortable around school by telling everyone he was adopted. I didn't see why being adopted was such a bad thing at first. Then I realised that he had bounced through homes his whole life. He had never known what a true family or what true friends are. Well that was all about to change.
Me, Calum and his weird friend Michael pulled up outside Ashton's house. Michael had electric blue hair which was the only cool thing about him. I don't know why he's even coming along, Ashton doesn't even know him.
We quickly walked to the door since it was raining outside, Ellie answered the door and she looked delighted to see me, "Ash. Calum and Luke are here. They brought someone with wicked-crazy blue hair" Ellie shouting into the house.
I'm guessing that Ashton hadn't told his parents about the whole adoption thing. Which I was kind of glad about since his mom was pretty cool and since I would be working with Ashton a lot this semester I didn't want to piss his parents off.
Within seconds Ashton was at the door in a batman onesie with the hood pulled over his head, he looked cute in it.
Homo-check.
He blushed when he saw me, don't know what that was about. Maybe he was embarrassed by our hug? Was I not a good hugger or something?
"Urm...why are you here?" he asked us, but by his emphasis on you I guessed he was indirectly asking me what I was doing here. I'm guessing he's still a little pissed about the situation and probably weirded out by the hug. All that I know is he looked pretty upset and I hugged him, I don't usually hug people but I made a one time exception.
"If you're not coming to school. Then we're bringing school to you" Calum responded simply, pushing his way into the house. Which I thought was very rude, you're supposed to be a guest in someone's house. "The back is open" Ashton shouted after Calum and Michael. Confusing.
We just stood there in the doorway taking quick glances at each other, never lasting for more than a few seconds, "So about the other day..." I began. He quickly looked at me, his face flushed red with embarrassment.
"Don't even mention it. I was upset and angry and that was your way of...apologising" he quickly explained. Lucky because I had no idea where my train of thought was going at that point. I could've said anything to him. Thank God he only saw it as a friendly gesture and nothing else, that could make everything ten times more awkward.
"Backdoor?" I asked. He looked at me with fear in his eyes.
"Excuse me?" he shrieked. What did he...what no no no. I didn't mean like...his backdoor or anything.
"You said the back door was open before to Calum and Michael and I was just wondering what you meant, I didn't mean like your backdoor or anything" I rambled in literally two seconds flat. I was breathless by the time I had finished.
"The shed is a mini gaming centre and you can only get there through the back door" he said, he started laughing a little at our little mistake. This was gonna be a really awkward night I could tell already.
We walked quickly through the house and into the gaming shed. It was like a supreme bachelor pad back here. Two gaming chairs sat in front of a plasma screen tv. X-box hook up. Pool and foosball table. A large tattered up coach and a mini fridge. This was like my sims hangout from like third grade. #TBT.
Michael and Calum were already wearing xbox headsets and were deep in a game of Mario Karts Classic. Michael was kinda of nerdy and was bragging about all the shortcuts and cheat codes he knew. Which left me and Ash just sitting there awkwardly, I didn't exactly know what to talk to him about. The only thing I was really interested in was football and he didn't seem like the sporty type.
"So how's Taylor?" he asked randomly. It caught me off guard that he was asking about Taylor, his expression seemed bored so I guessed he was just trying to make some sort of conversation.
"You want to know about Taylor?" I asked in disbelief.
He shrugged and glanced over at me, our eyes met for a moment. Just like they did on his first day. I was the one to break it, I did the whole fake cough thing to hide the awkwardness.
"Are you coming back to school sometime soon? We have to work on that dance thing. And I really don't want to repeat a grade" I laughed, it felt easier talking to Ash than any of my friends. Maybe it was because he didn't expect anything from me like everyone else did. Everyone wanted a piece of me.
Great now I sound like a Britney Spears song.
"Ellie said that I have to go back tomorrow. So afterschool in the dance studio I guess?" he fake groaned. I could tell he was happy he was going back to school though, something in his voice was a tell.
I don't know why but I was really excited as well, this boy had a unheard effect on me.
