Two years passed. Two years. It seemed to be the most quickest, yet longest time of Tsubaki's life. Her schedule had compacted of training, training, and more training. Even she thought that she had bit off more than she could chew.
"We will now start the final exam. When your name is called proceed to the testing room. The final test will be on the clone jutsu."
Naruto held his head at the pure agony he was in, "Ugh! That's my worst technique! Great! I'm never gonna pass...! Tsubaki-chan~!!"
The Uchiha female looked away from the male, scoffing, "I'm not going to transform into you and do your exam myself." The onyx eyed girl flicked his forehead, "Think outside the box."
"Hn, my sister is right, dobe, " replied Sasuke, who sat coolly next to the orange-clad boy.
Hashirama swiped at lock of hair that swept over his eyes. Both of the reborn shinobi were growing out their hair to what they used to be. What was more, Tsubaki Uchiha's hair was no longer straight, but the same unruly mass from her previous life. It gave her some pride.
"... I wish Gaara was here..." she sighed aloud, looking off into the direction of Suna.
Sasuke's finger twitched. As soon as he found about his twin's infatuation for the boy, the odds of friendship were ruined. At least Itachi-Nii hadn't caught on... Yet.
The Mokuton user sweatdropped, "... He only left a day ago."
"But it feel like a lifetime... Also, be grateful that Gramps even let you be in the Academy... nonetheless in this class with me."
"You've told me that so many times."
"Yeah, and I think its about time I do something about it."
"Right..."
"OH! I GOT IT, DATTEBAYO!"
"What?!" Tsubaki angrily asked back, "You got laid?!"
A shade of red erupted across his cheeks and deepened by the second. "Tsu-Tsubaki-chan... Wha-what... What would make you say that?!"
"You just sounded real excited for a second, so I got my hopes up."
"N-no! I know what to do now! ... I forgot"
The three around him deadpanned, "Did you seriously just forget something so essential?"
"It's not my fault, dattebayo!" He hmphed, and turned red-face to the side.
Sighing once more, she murmured, "I miss Gaara."
'Genma' looked exasperated. "He can't stay here his whole life. He's been employed as a diplomat of Suna. If we had him the whole time they'd be suspicious."
"What's more to use as an argue than lo-."
A crow landed on a branch outside of the school. Sweat trickled down her chin at the sight of it. It perched on the branch for a minute before taking off, probably to scour another area.
"I almost indirectly murdered someone today."
"How do you know if it was him or not?"
"Chakra."
"Oh yeah, your sensory skills."
"Genma Uchiha!" Iruka-sensei called out.
He shivered slightly when he heard the last name, "I'm never going to get use to that."
"I like your reaction though."
"Then I'll try not to amuse you next time."
Her middle finger came up as he walked away. When he had turned the corner, she chanted softly, "Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail. Fail."
"Sasuke Uchiha!"
"Dammit, " she swore, as she didn't hear him cry a river or the famous blubbering that Tobirama somehow was able to cope with... And that was the only thing she'd compliment the man on.
As her brother went off, she gave him a thumbs up, "Do good, Nii-chan... Do exactly what they tell you to do, alright?"
"Hn(okay)."
The jet-black haired Uchiha quickly checked her arsenal of jutsus, quickly deciding that the best decision was to not showoff, as hard as it was. "Alright... Naruto-."
"Tsubaki Uchiha!"
"Shit... Uh... Naruto, Good luck."
"Thanks, " he weakly replied, still somewhat stressing over the fact of passing or not.
She walked into the room with the two teachers, plastering her most angelic smile ever. "Hello, dear Iruka-sensei and Mizuki-sensei."
"That smile isn't fooling anyone."
"It was worth a shot."
She placed her hands into the signs. Tiger, Boar, Ox, Dog...
There was three small poofs and the Illusion that there was three doppelgangers of Tsubaki appeared in the room. "Okay, here you go. Just give me the headband and I'll go."
Her teacher sighed, "Alright... Tsubaki Uchiha... You pass."
He handed her the headband in his hands and she dashed out of the room, "Hah! I'm official now! Now Jii-chan will let me go to Kiri!"
The two chunnin sweatdropped, especially at her new antics of going to Kiri. Yes, she was a wild one that loved exploring, but she wanted to join the war and side with the rebels. She had said it was some form of penance, but no one really understood how.
When she finished her charade of running out, she instantly concealed her chakra, hiding in a position to where she could see inside the room.
"Naruto Uzumaki!'
He went in with a big grin on his face, but she could tell that it was to trick himself. "I'm here and ready, Iruka-sensei, dattebayo!"
"Come on, you big dolt!" she whisper yelled at the boy in a low tone so he couldn't hear her.
The teacher motioned, "Go ahead."
"Alright!" He made the hand signs. "Clone Jutsu!"
With a poof, one totally fine looking Naruto clone, one kind of Naruto clone, and a half-assed Naruto appeared.
"Ho, Kami, save him now."
The poor boy looked heartbroken at it, "... I made one..."
Iruka sighed, and delivered the news, "Fail."
Mizuki held up his hands and replied, "Well, he made one..."
"The others can at least make three... And Tsubaki Uchiha, well, she's unpredictable, but still... Naruto is still way behind compared to the other students in his class."
Spite grew in her and the newly promoted genin couldn't stop her hand from flinging out a kunai. It landed into the wooded boards, buried down to the hilt. "And how is it his fault?! The curriculum obviously isn't for him with those reserves!"
"Tsubaki-chan, " Naruto murmured dumbly.
"If any clone technique would work it would be Shadow Clones, not a jutsu heavily on chakra control! Good teachers are supposed to accommodate themselves to their students too! It's like you guys set him up to fail! It's not fair for me either because Jii-chan prohibited me from allowing Naruto to learn it!"
She grabbed her friend's hand, "Oy, snap out of it. If worst comes to worst, you're coming to Kiri with me."
Suddenly, his chest felt a lot lighter and the sadness at failing washed away.
