They had exactly one month to prepare for the finals... And Tsubaki had no idea who she was actually up against. She had majorly hoped for herself to verse Hashirama and beat him into a pulp, but there was a high amount of doubt against it. Not only that, but everyone was busy training but she was plain bored.
Sasuke was up in the mountains with Kakashi. Naruto was assigned to a jounin trainer. Sakura was training by herself and allowed no potential opponent see her. The Hokage was stuck in his office and couldn't be bothered. Not only that, but Hashirama was having an extensive training regimen where he would become the Lorax and speak to the trees.
However, with everyone busy, no one would be on her case about leaving the village for... A month or so. Tsubaki could finally go to the ninja village she had been aching to go to. After all, she had to fix that mistake there.
Whistling, she pounced on top of Konohagakure's wall and landed on the other side in a crouched form. She outfit had changed to all black with long sleeves to cover her arm as inconspicuously as possible.
She hadn't forgotten to leave a note in case anyone was worried. It was along the lines of: I'm leaving for a bit and won't be back until the month is over... Good luck on the Prelims!
There was even a smiley face on the bottom part in the area where she signed her name... They couldn't get too mad at her for that... This was her "training."
Leaping from tree to tree, the Uchiha female could feel the anticipation and excitement flowing through her veins. She had to find the rebels- most importantly, Mei Terumi- and tell them what had actually happened to the Mizukage and what she would do.
No, she didn't really know her chakra signature, but had a sneaking suspicion that she was where Zabuza was. They were both rogues that escaped from the Fourth Mizukage's oppression. What was there to stop them from teaming up?
So, just like a string, she followed the faint string and really did end up at a hidden base. It looked newly established and rugged, to the point where it had to be a battlefield at one point. Looking around cautiously, she found the trapdoor leading into the base.
She stepped in confidently and searched for any troops that would kindly escort her to the people she wanted to see. However, she couldn't find anyone. Perhaps they're on a lunch break?
Walking into another corridor, she bumped into someone and comically almost fell down. The chakra signature was obvious at that point. "Haku-san...?"
His brown eyes widened with confusion, "What... How did you you get in here? Why are you here?"
She cleared her throat and smiled, "You see, I am in the Chunnin Exams and now we have to train for a month... But I'm so overpowered right now that I really don't have to, so I want to help you guys win the war!"
"I'm not sure you can..." he drawled, hesitating heavily, "You might drag Konoha into the war."
"No, I won't... I just need another village's headband and I'll put a slash through it. Problem solved."
"If this gets out, you'll more than likely be in the Bingo Books."
"I like a challenge."
Thinking through it thouroughly, the Yuki murmured, "Come with me."
Tsubaki fist pumped into the air and followed him down a winding staircase into a room that had a rather large amount of people in it. "Is there a meeting?"
He didn't answer but instead coughed gently into his hand, making himself known to the room. The clamors inside had stopped and he stated, "We have a... Guest from Konohagakure."
She could here a clear remark inside, "Why would someone from Konoha involve themselves in us?"
The voice, which she could pick out as Zabuza's laughed, "If I had any guesses, there is only one kunoichi that would actually pull this stunt, much less without her Kage's approval."
Tsubaki couldn't help but grin when she heard what he had said. "Damn, you know me better than my Kage... He honestly should've seen it coming."
"He should have, especially after you allied with us, burned the mansion down, let us go, and even gave us all the money."
She nodded and added sagely, "I also pitied you both and didn't kill you or Haku by accident."
"You've also landed yourself in the Bingo Book."
She gasped giddily and almost tackled the man to the ground to see the book he held up in his hand. She never thought she would be in it so soon!
Haku seemed a bit surprised, but tried to keep his face neutral. His mentor, on the other hand, was flipping through the pages until it landed on her.
"S- Class? 10,000,000 bounty? Wanted by the Sound? Now this is more of what I want! Imagine how much higher my bounty will go up if I pull this off!"
"You aren't even the least bit frightened, " he sighed, "Congrats on finally becoming a shinobi."
"Frightened? Why would I be? In my previous life mine was high- Oops, forget about that."
"Previous life?" Mei questioned.
Yes, Tsubaki hadn't noticed her there before, but if she was about her age and still Madara Uchiha, she would pursue her fine ass to the ends of the Earth. "Damn, if I was only older, I'd marry you... What a fine wife you'd make."
Mei didn't know whether to blush or to become a bit disgusted at it. She probably was doing both. "W-well, do you think that I'm at a marriagable age?"
"I believe that you will always be at that age because your beauty is worth it, " she replied with a wink.
A bit proud, she asked, "So, what exactly are you doing here?"
" I'm here to fight with all of you against Kirigakure."
"Why would you even try to do that?"
Her expression turned grim, "My... No, Tobi placed Yagura under a genjutsu so now everything he doing now is because of him. I believe that you all have heard of the Akatsuki? Although it may not seem like it, but the leader is actually only a puppet. The real mastermind is Tobi, who has been pulling the strings and even killed the Fourth Hokage and his wife."
"But they were killed by the release of the Kyuubi... Unless... " Mei Terumi trailed off, already realizing what she meant.
"Yes, he released the Nine Tails and controlled him."
"Then that's how the Sanbi isn't rampaging right now."
"Yes."
"He is also an Uchiha."
"Yes... As the head of the Uchihas, a rogue is my responsibility... This is our retribution."
