remember pt.5

I finally made it. 18 long years,friendships,hardships,and homework have gotten me hear. I can't believe it. It's like yesterday I was 5 and I saw my mom for the first time. She's visited me several times. Through good times,bad times,random times,and important times.

My dad has been there for me every step of the way. Taking me to recitals, concerts, ceremonies,everything I was in. My uncles and aunts were there too of course. Seb and rem helped me find myself and my place in the world. I now know what I want to do. Go to school for music. I can play all the instruments they can besides my vocals.

Today dosen't feel real. I shouldn't be graduating yet.

Dad comes in my room. "Look at you,all grown up." "Dad don't make me cry more" I hug him. "Good job my pirate girl. I have something for you" he pulls out a beautiful diamond necklace. "It was your mothers" I take it and put it on. "It's beautiful"

"We should probably get going. The graduation starts in thirty minutes." Shy says from my doorway. I nod and head out.

I walk along the stage. Gey my diploma. I've done it. I've finished high school. Wow

One month later
"Open it,open it!!!" My dad cries. It was my acceptance letter from (Your dream college) Lucas had his also. I ripped open the top and pulled out the letter.

My eyes went wide. "I got in!!!" Dad and Shy hugged me. I looked at Lucas. "Lucas....?" "G-good job em" "You didnt make it did you?" He shook his head. I hugged him. "I'm sorry"

Months later
I put the last box in the car. I was staying in an apartment close to the college. Dad,shy,and Lucas were taking me up there. It was quite a long drive.

After we got to the college,got to my room,and unpacked. We went to eat. After that we went back. I looked at them. They were all crying. More like tearing up.

"You've done so much to get to where you are now,and I'm so proud of you" "thanks dad"

Shy looked at me. "We didn't get along right away,but now that we know each other better it's been an honor to watch you grow and mature into a lovely young lady."

Lucas didn't know what to say. He just hugged me and wished me good luck "I love you" he whispered. "Love you too"

My new adventure begins.

After getting my place together I sense something "hi mom" "you've gotten better at that."after 13 years of it happening I tend to catch up on these things" "I'm so proud of you" "your as sappy as Dad" "where do you think he got it from" I laugh. "I really am proud of you" "thanks mom" it's silent for a minute. "Your still gonna come see me right?" "Of course" "Love you" "love you too. Smoke.
