Mysterious Changes
The Next Sune Cycle
Favi rolled onto her back and groaned, putting a hand to her forehead. It hurt like a headache and burned like a fever, but she didn't understand why. What could she have possibly done to make herself have a throbbing head, or to make her possibly sick? Quietly she slowly opened her eyes, feeling around her face with the back of her hand. When she touched her cheek it burned her, and she hissed in pain. Since when did that ever happen? Confused, the lynx took her hand from her face before trying again, getting burned again and retracting her hand.
"The heck?" She mumbled, then moving to remove her covers.
Pain seared through her arms and she bit back a yowl. With a whimper she raised her arm to rub and looked at it. There were yellow spots along her pelt, making the sandy lynx squint and blink her eyes. Hold on... spots? And if it needed to get any more confusing, yellow ones? The lynx let out confused murmurs as she attempted to sit up from her laying position before wincing in pain. What made getting yellow spots on her body hurt so much, and why did her cheek burn her?
Just to make sure her eyes weren't fooling her, Favi pressed a finger to one of the spots.
"Ow!" She hissed as she quickly drew back her finger.
Why the heck did her skin burn every time she touched some part of her body? Deeply confused, the lynx suffered through the pain of throwing off her covers and sliding her legs over to the edge of the bed. They dangled as she stared at the floor. She didn't see anything on those, so why did her hips and back hurt so bad? With a growl, Favi scooted close to the edge of the bed, cautiously letting her paws touch the floor. Immediately pain shot through the lynx and she hissed in pain, panting. Her body hurt badly, but she needed to get up and get moving. With a few hesitant and painful pushes, Favi stood up. Her legs felt like jelly, completely unstable, and she fell to the ground with a thud. As she fell, she felt something soft and fluffy slap the back of her thigh. Confused, the sandy lynx looked back and shrieked. Her tail! It was huge! It got so long!
"What in the world?!" She shrieked, whipping her body around and grabbing it roughly. Not a good idea.
Pain shot through her body and she yowled, only able to tighten her grip on her tail. Favi sat there with her eyes closed tight as she gripped her tail and silently cursed the pain away. With a groan she then slowly got up from the floor. Pain still bothered her, but she took a deep breath and suffered through it. Slowly she took a few steps toward one of the doors in her room. She felt a little wonky on her paws, but she managed to get to the door that led to her private bathroom. Looking back at her room, she frowned. Unlike when she was just falling asleep, it was a mess. One of her chests were knocked out of place, the pile of clothes had used in the past was now destroyed and every article of clothing was scattered about. Even the toolbox originally on her desk was knocked onto the floor. What in the world happened last night? I'll have to clean that up later, Favi thought with a groan. Quietly she limped into the bathroom and tapped on the light switch. When the light turned on and she looked in the mirror, she furrowed her eyebrows.
There was yellow on the tips of her cheek fur and crescents marked both of her cheeks. Carefully she turned to look at her back in the mirror. It was covered in many yellow spots, making her eyes widen in confusion. Her eyebrows furrowed as she stared them down before lifting her arms. Yellow spots were clearly noticeable underneath them.
"Good lord... how did this happen?"
Muttering curses to herself, the lynx hobbled over to her bedroom door. I need to ask Belle about this, she thought. Limping out, she looked toward her sister's bedroom. The apartment looked the same as any other apartment in the complex, but many desks and tables along with rolling chairs were strewn out through the living room, metalizes and other electronic parts everywhere. Quietly and carefully Favi walked through the messy apartment halls and living room.
