Strange Encounters
Continuing Battle
With a groan, Favi adjusted herself and weakly stood up from the others, her head throbbing with pain and her back sore from the fall. She turned to look at the others who crash landed with her before suddenly being grabbed by the cheek.
"Oh my dear god, these poor things!" A motherly voice shrilly exclaimed, a canine head moving out of the lynx's gaze.
Struggling out of the strong grip of the hand, the female looked to see a golden retriever helping Xengu up and looking at the scratches and wounds that were scattered on her body. A large gash bled profusely from her wing, making the dog carefully help her to another canine. She flinched when she felt a soft hand touch her arm, turning her head to see Jasar looking at her with a small amount of confusion in his eyes. All she could do was shrug, jumping at the sound of a loud bang ringing out into the open air. Her ears flicked, and her eyes widened as she heard thundering paws all around her, making her look around wildly. More canines came into view, all looking up at the sky before looking at the group of dogs that had helped Favi and the others to their paws.
Many gasped and pointed at them and whispered to each other, while a few others growled and maybe a couple came to help them. Feeling a small amount of intimidation, the female lynx looked at the light gray tom next to her and then back to see if Marsh was okay. Seeing his brown fur made her relax a little, though his body was almost as battered as Xengu's, worry flickering in her mind as she went to look back at the crowd. Feeling a soft hand intertwine with her's, she dipped her head a small bit and squeezed the hand, her body slightly shaking a little. Another female dog quickly and gently rested a hand beneath her chin and checked her for a small bit.
"What is all of this commotion? We should be making sure that- "
Hearing the loud and unfamiliar voice, Favi turned toward the sound and saw a white wolf staring at the small group of canines with wide eyes. She had scarlet markings all over her body, shaped like flames. Her yellow eyes blazed as she stared at the group, but her body language showed that she was hesitant about them.
"Where... did they come from...?"
Her fur rising a little, the yellow marked lynx took a step back, staring at the approaching wolf with uncertainty as the dog who held her by the chin approached the white canine.
"They just crashed right there out of the sky, and the poor things are thin as well, who knows where their home once was?"
"Rmph, we'll have to keep them in check during this battle, they could have come from the Sinisters," the female wolf gruffly growled, a few other canines agreeing.
The black dog in front of the female lynx sadly shook her head a little.
"I honestly doubt that they really are from such terrible creatures, otherwise they would probably be insane."
"Who says they aren't or if they are?"
At that, all the labrador could do was bow her head and look to the side before looking back at the four felines. This one had more blueish eyes, and she had magenta speckles for markings on her body. Favi gave a long and uncertain gaze to the wolf behind the labrador, who started to slowly approach her, her dark pink nose twitching. She must be trying to draw out our scent, she thought as she quickly checked Xengu.
She knew the panther had a possible chance to be a little hostile to the canines, but surprisingly, she wasn't, all the dark feline did was lean against a sheltie, her eyes filled with exhaustion.
"You don't smell of a Sinister..." The wolf muttered, the sandy lynx flinching as she had just realized that the other female was right in front of her.
