Frozen Stone

The Next Sune Cycle

Favi held onto a soft leaf as she quietly waited for Marsh to wake up, Xengu right next to her, her form slumped and her gaze unwavering as she stared at a wall. The female lynx gripped the soft leaf a little tightly before sighing and setting the leaf to the side.

"I don't see how he can sleep so long without having anything to eat in forever," she mumbled as she looked at the brown lynx.

The panther nodded her head in agreement, the sandy female perking up her ears before looking to the side.

"He really needs to eat, I'll wake him up and take him to Jasar, I heard they've got food for him. Hopefully he won't be a pig and keep it to himself," the winged feline rumbled, getting up and walking over toward Marsh as Favi nearly choked on her own spit from laughing.

The dark feline started with patting the male's shoulder, in which didn't work. Next she shook his shoulder a slight bit which didn't make him crack open an eye. Then she finally grabbed him by the shoulder with both hands and violently shook the lynx.

"WAKE UP!"

Quickly the male yowled and kicked the panther away, who tumbled off the pile of strange leaves and rolled on the dirt ground. Worriedly, Favi looked over toward the winged feline, who simply held up a thumb.

"Worth it, he's awake."

The female lynx gave a small giggle and walked up to her, helping the dark feline to her paws. Xengu lifted her head and looked over toward Marsh, who lifted himself up and glared at the winged bifer.

"What was that for?" He hissed.

"Number one you've been sleeping all sune cycle like a sloth, and number two you haven't eaten anything in sunes," the panther replied, holding up two fingers. "Two reasons."

The brown lynx squinted his eyes, snorting a little.

"Isn't that the same for you?"

"Nope, Gareth came back to Mender's Den with a little bit of food. That's when the other ophoree realized we never had anything and started fetching Jasar some. I assume they expect us to get into some other ranks and get our own food from them," Favi explained.

Marsh raised his eyebrows and nodded a little slowly, quickly snapping out of his daze as Xengu marched up on the leaf pile toward him.

"Come with me so I can take you to Jasar, he probably has some food left, or he ate it all and threw up."

The male lynx rolled his eyes and took her outstretched hand, stumbling to his paws.

"Quit being mean."

A snort escaped the panther and she helped him off the pile. Favi quickly ran up to the winged feline's side and they started their walk to find Jasar. It wasn't very long before they exited the room and found themselves in the lobby. Scanning his gaze along the room, Marsh frowned a little before perking up as Jasar came bounding up to the three.

"Marsh, you're finally awake," the light gray male greeted, giving a small wave.

The male lynx quietly nodded a little, noticing the tom's stomach wasn't as caved in, but it was noticeable that he was keeping himself in check and wasn't going overboard with food.

"Jasar, do you have any more food to spare? We just woke up Marsh and he's still not looking too good," Xengu quickly asked, earning a small glare from the brown male.

"Of course, come and follow me," the light gray male said, gesturing for the lynx to follow him.

As soon as Marsh took a step forward, the two females followed, making the cat quickly stop them.
