Finally

Later That Cycle

Xengu groaned and held her head feeling incredibly nauseous. Don't hurl, don't hurl, she growled to herself in her head. With a grunt, she fell to the ground, feeling soft leaves underneath her. She could barely open her eyes, the pain and nausea was so bad...

"Hold still and drink this," a familiar voice sounded above her.

She felt a hard surface against her lip and put her mouth on it. A cool liquid touched her fur and she eagerly started to drink it, feeling heavily parched. What she had not expected was to be shocked with a chill on her brain, making her hiss.

"I know, I wish we had let you know about mass spirit crossings."

Feeling the nausea and pressure relieve off of her, Xengu opened her eyes. She found herself looking into Jordain's irises and sighed out her relief. The wolf gave a good-hearted smile and simply held the panther's head up.

"Feeling better?" she asked.

"A lot better, thank you."

Jordain softly nodded and tied a wet rag to the winged feline's forehead before letting her sit up. Getting a good look of her surroundings, she found herself in a cave, but not like Mender's Den. Confused, she flicked her ears before widening her eyes as Maliki entered the room. The queen looked at her and formed a smile on her muzzle, walking up to the panther.

"Good evening, Xengu. It's good to see you're awake."

Nervously Xengu nodded in return, her ears flicking in uncertainty.

"Where are the others?" she asked.

"Out waiting in the lobby, that mass spirit crossing really knocked you out. We were concerned your aura had such a bad reaction that you would be in a sune cycle coma and be unable to get to work," Maliki gently explained.

"W-wait hold on. What's going on?"

"They're planning on talking to Frosten," Jordain explained.

Xengu's eyes widened a little and she blinked rapidly.

"That's what Favi wanted you to do..."

"Yes, and we'll be explaining a few other things as well," Maliki rumbled as she got up from her crouching position.

Confused, the panther looked to Jordain, who helped her to her paws off of the leaf pile she was laying in. The queen ophoris glanced back to the two and nodded her head, signaling the two to follow her. Xengu found herself wobbly on her own paws as she walked, which would be the reason why she found it incredibly useful for Jordain to be at her side. Once they made it out of the room the panther was originally in, the dark feline found herself perking up at the sight of the others.

Favi perked up and waved to her eagerly, Jasar and Marsh simply gazing at her.

"How long have I been out?" the panther asked with a chuckle as she came up to them.

"Only around ten hours, we were out for only like... three," Favi replied before laughing.

"Dang, ten hours?! That's like a full sune cycle!"

"No, it isn't, you idiot."

Xengu flattened her ears a little at the insult before turning to smile nervously at Jasar, who crossed his arms and glared at her. The panther waved a little, while the tom cat huffed and turned his nose. Frowning the winged feline set down her hand and sat down next to Favi.
