Mysterious Wounds

Four Sune Cycles Later

Time went by fairly quickly. Training for the cat had been more intense and the other three would have chances of meeting with him considering their training. Though sometimes he would end up resting when they came by and miss his chance. Their breaks had become almost non-existent with only the night being their chance to greet each other. Any more than that they would end up staying up and never get any sleep.

A sigh escaped the cat as he heard the bark of one of the mender ophoree calling for him. Quickly he jumped out from behind the hanging vines in front of is rest cave. His paws thumped on the ground as he ran over to the lobby cave room. There stood multiple ophoree and bifers, most of the bifers injured and standing around impatiently. Slowing to a stop, the tom cat glanced around to the crowd. He could spot Whiz and Lark, but not Rose and Xengu. At least not yet.

Walking up to a mender ophoris, Jasar took one look to the others before glancing up at it.

"What do I need to do?" He asked.

The ophoris shrugged simply.

"Make them comfortable and check if any of them can take ability healing without being hurt. Typically, Kira's abilities counter that aura, but double check," it replied.

The cat gave a willing nod and shifting his way through the ophoree and bifers and gently taking few at a time to the resting room. He would have started up a conversation to ease their minds and taking their thoughts off of their pain, though he found they were spies. Not a mix.

It was evident that Xengu was really being taken to the ideals of the others. They all were silent and reluctant to speak of how they got their wounds. It frustrated the male, though he knew that if he tried to push it any further, he would make his patient reluctant to be healed by him or any of the other menders. So, he bit his tongue and simply continued to tend to their cuts and gashes.

Soon after a while, he felt fairly tired and exhausted, feeling all of his energy drain from his body. Going up to a mender, he echoed his short break and headed to the herb room. There would be some good nutrient water there that he could consume to have just a little more energy before resting a short bit. Glancing around to make sure no one was going to confront him about leaving, Jasar pushed his ways through the vines.

A sigh of relief escaped the tom cat as he took in the cold air of the cave and headed to the trickling waterfall. Kneeling down he cupped the water in his hands and took a small sip. It felt cool and had a good feeling on his tongue and down his throat, though he knew that one handful was good enough.

Just as he was done drinking, he wiped his hands on his thighs and turned around. With a shriek he jumped back and stumbled in the water as he noticed a dark figure. Realizing who it was, the cat let out a growly sigh.

"Hi, Whiz."

"Good afternoon, Jasar! I saw you sneaking back here and wondered where you were going."

The tom cat glared at the canine before sighing and walking out of the herb cave.

"What do you need?"

"Just an opinion. The ophoree don't have all that good of eyesight so I needed keener eyes."

The dog then quickly looked around and to the side before leaning toward the light gray cat.

"You don't mind if we... look at it in private?"

Quietly Jasar flicked an ear with furrowed eyebrows.
