Confrontation
That Night
The female lynx fidgeted uncomfortably, a stinging feeling in her arm. With an angered snarl, she shot up and rubbed her arm, a hiss escaping her. It was where she had scraped against the ground while a Sinister had knocked her across the field. There were a few other wounds on her that bothered her but this one hurt the most. Only a small sigh escaped the small lynx and she looked at her dark surroundings. It was still deep into the night, the same as the battle that occurred. Able to feel the warmth of others pressing against her she looked down, finding Marsh and Jasar sleeping peacefully. They had gotten pretty banged up in the battle, but they were lucky to not be bothered by the remnant pain. It didn't make the female lynx feel any jealousy toward them, in fact she was relieved. A small smile formed on her face as she gazed at the two males before glancing to a noticeable shadow in front of her. Xengu, the panther that made everyone go into a panic in battle, was quietly perched away from the pile of soft leaves the group laid on.
Her body was covered in bandages head to toe, and earlier the lynx remembered her smelling like sharp herbs. Now that the Favi thought about it, she kind of pitied the winged feline. Since she had an aura that didn't allow her to be ability healed, she had to go through the suffering of healing regularly. It was overall sad to think about. Imagining being the only one unable to be quickly healed would have made the lynx spiteful of others' privileges. Though it wasn't like the panther could control what her aura does. Still, it made the lynx both mad and sad. Sever slept quietly at the cave entrance, his breathing soft and quiet, over all peaceful. Though seeing the panther made Favi squint her eyes. What in the world is she doing up? Surely she would be asleep after all that battling? Not wanting to startle the winged feline, the yellow marked lynx slowly crawled over to her.
"Interesting to hear you awake," the panther rumbled, halting the lynx.
"Am I loud or something?"
With a smirk the lynx quietly sat at Xengu's side, who squinted at her. Still mean and never answering questions, the winter lynx thought, rolling her eyes.
"What are you doing up?" The panther asked.
"My arm bothers me, that's all," Favi replied simply.
A small grunt escaped the dark feline and she shook herself, a pained groan escaping her. With her run in of multiple ophoree trying to take her from one side to the other, she had many large bite marks and gashes. Mainly around her wings and legs. Looks like she won't be flying for a while, Favi thought as she gazed at the holes in the panther's pelt.
"So what was it like?"
"Hm?" The purple marked feline grunted.
"Being tossed around and grabbed like a toy some kids are quarreling over?"
An angry snort escaped Xengu.
"I'm honestly surprised I didn't get ripped in half or lose any of my limbs. I guess you could say I'm lucky," she mumbled.
"Must've been scary."
"In the moment and now? Both are a yes. What about you? What was it like trying to find me?"
A small frown formed on the yellow marked female's face as she tried to concentrate on what happened in the chaotic moment of trying to find Xengu. It was quite scary going around the frantically moving paws of the ophoree fighting. She knew plenty of moments where she could have gotten squashed.
"It was scary, but probably not as scary as being thrown around in the air around snapping jaws."
"Were you afraid of getting trampled at some point?" The winged feline asked.
