The First of Their Kind
Moments Later
Xengu slowly opened her tightly shut eyes and looked up and around her, her yellow eyes widening with awe as she stared up at the ceiling above her. There, were multiple orbs of light, floating above her, not a single rope attached to them. She stared at them with large eyes of wonder, walking forward a small bit and turning before nearly falling over from trying to get a good look at them. Hearing a small bit of giggling and chuckling, her fur bristled a little as she hissed out a small 'shut up.' The panther then flicked her gaze toward Jasar, who stared up at the lights with large, glistening pupils.
"H-how is it possible? They're so soft to the eyes and they give so much light!" The light gray tom exclaimed before turning toward Jordain.
"A long-lasting ability one of the ophoree has around here, now c'mon, lets move a little bit more or none of them will notice us, we're so small to their eyes."
The winged panther flicked her ears for a moment before looking around the room ahead of her. There were many ophoree bustling about, caring for other ophoree who laid on large pile of what seemed to be moss.
The busy ones would urgently growl to each other and switch patients, the dark feline's yellow eyes flicking back and forth between the large creatures. She then took a step forward, looking back at the others who were also hesitant because of the large group. Jordain gave a small tut and started walking toward one of the ophoree, her white coat brightening under the light. Quickly the panther walked after her, her eyes keen on staying on the ophoree, for she felt a shiver of distrust ruffle her fur. The creatures around them started to take notice and stared at the felines, their gazes filled with interest. The wolf eventually stopped in front of an available ophoris, who simply stood there, looking down at the bifers.
"Hello Kira, long time no see, hasn't it?"
"Well, not necessarily but it has been a while. On the topic of my responsibility, what injury or illness of yours is needed to be healed?"
The pink marked ophoris dipped her head as she spoke, the other ophoree slowly getting back to what they were originally doing.
"I'm not badly injured, just a couple of bad bruises and scrapes, and I did inhale a little bit of some form of a smoke from an ophoris, you can check me for anything bad if you want. However, it is these felines here that need your caring attention, they literally crash landed on stone ground and I'm sure there must be a broken bone, especially on this one," the female canine replied, gently setting a hand on Xengu.
With wide eyes, the ophoris stared at the wolf before flicking her gaze to the group of felines, who were just behind her.
"These... are the felines who arrived with Masoom, correct?"
"Cor- wait, Masoom's alive?"
"Yes, he arrived earlier tosune, but never mind the recent news, you want me to heal them?"
"You have the ability to heal?" Jasar asked, perking up a little.
"Of course, you're in Menders' Den, most of the ophoree here can heal one another," Kira replied with a purr, finally closing her eyes a little.
"C-cool."
A nervous laugh escaped the male as he shuffled his paws a little, the others looking at him in slight confusion.
"Kira, there's a bed available over here," a gentle voice echoed.
"Thank you. Come and follow me if you would."
