Strange Concerns

The Next Sune Cycle

Xengu slowly opened her yellow eyes, her head ringing in pain. With a strained groan, she tried to sit up, only to be gently pushed back down on the warm, but hard ground. Her vision was blurry, so she was unsure what was in front of her, or at the least, who was in front of her.
"Who are you?" She managed to ask, though her throat felt raspy.

"I'm surprised, I guess you really did knock out yourself good enough to not even recognize me."

Just as the familiar voice spoke, the panther's vision cleared, and she widened her eyes a little.
"Favi!" She exclaimed with surprise.

"I wasn't the one who pushed you down, if that's what you're wondering."

"No, I'm just surprised I didn't notice you myself. My vision was all blurry and that's why I didn't recognize you."

"But now it's clear, right? You can see better?" Jasar asked, carefully walking into view.

The winged feline nodded, and Marsh kneeled down next to her, giving her a flask of water and allowing her to drink from it.

"Do you remember what you saw when you were being tested?" He asked.

A small frown formed on the female's face as she furrowed her eyebrows.

"How do you know about me being tested?"

"I told them, do you even know where you are?" Whiz asked, pushing Favi away as he came up to the panther.

After giving the place around her a small glance, she looked back at the shepherd dog and shook her head.

"You're in Royal's Cave, us spies took you here as soon as you ran into a cliff side. Manipi and Maliki are out at the moment, but any second now they should come back and explain why they need us."

Rose and Lark walked up to the panther and greeted her, Xengu doing the same in return as she sat up.

"Back to Marsh's question, do you remember what you saw while testing?" Rose asked.

"A dragon, most certainly, it had all sorts of scales on its body, but it didn't have wings, it had crystals," the panther quickly explained.

"That's what I kinda saw, did it have a broad nose? Or like, a square head?" The male lynx asked.

"Yeah, and I saw a marking on those crystals, they formed a diamond outline."

"That's Frosten! Only she has a diamond on her back. Diamonds are a sign of leadership when it comes to ice dragons," Whiz explained with a determined smile on his face.

"So you guys really do use ice dragons as a term for iven dergou..." Favi mumbled.

"It's just easier to say," Rose replied with a shrug.

A frustrated huff escaped Lark and he looked over to Jasar, who nodded his head with a small frown.

"Lark was wondering why you ran away from, who we now know, Frosten."

Flattening her ears against her head, the winged feline looked to the side with embarrassment in her eyes.

"I-I just felt intimidated, that's all."

A small giggle escaped Favi and she shook her head a little.

"Yeah right. Though, I'm the only one without a rank now. You're a spy, Marsh is a guard, and Jasar's a mender. You've all got something to do while I don't..."
