Highland Town
Two Sune Cycles Later
Xengu flicked her ears forward and back, listening to the air around her as she sat perched on a building's roof. After the past few sunes, the group decided to meet up at Highland Town upon request from Rose. Down on the ground, the fox stood, ever so patiently waiting. She knew the group was exhausted after all of the recent events and that they needed something more interesting than just training every sune cycle. The panther's eyes stayed closed for a moment while's longer before being shocked by being hit in the face by a flying rock. She fell back before regaining her balance and rubbing her sore cheek.
"Ow... What do you want?" She asked, looking down at Rose.
"I thought you were helping me look out for the others," the fox stated, crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow.
The winged feline's eyes widened at her mistake and she looked away sheepishly.
"Sorry Rose..."
She then focused her gaze of the barren lands out ahead of them. After all, they were at the outskirts of the town, so as soon as one of the other three comes into view, the two can quickly grab them. Seeing someone walking up to the town in the distance made the panther deepen her focus.
She couldn't exactly pin-point on who was walking, so she had to wait a moment's while longer.
"Is that Favi?" The fox asked, interrupting the winged feline's thoughts.
The person walking up to the town (and shouting occasional nonsense to passing vehicles) was in fact, Favi. The dark feline stood up on the roof and found her footing before holding up her arms and waving them. It took a while for the lynx to recognize the panther but as soon as she did, she came bolting down the land. A small sigh escaped Xengu and she looked down at the fox next to the building, who gave a nervous glance.
"Hi Xengu! I'm glad to see you kept your end of the bargain," the yellow marked feline shouted as she came to a stop next to the building.
"I'm glad to see you even remembered my request in the first place," the panther retorted.
"Mhmm..."
The female lynx squinted her eyes with a large thin line that curved up at the tips on her face. Her usual smug smile.
"Sure. Who's this girly over here anyway? Your girlfriend?"
Rose casted a confused gaze to the winged feline, and then looked back at Favi.
"We've met before..."
"Mhm! And I have yet to meet someone who knows what a joke is."
The fox nervously laughed along with the lynx before looking back toward Xengu. A small snort escaped the panther and she shook her head before turning toward the barren lands once more. Soon enough, Marsh peeked out from behind some trees. Quickly the panther waved a hand, not paying attention to Jasar as the two other girls quickly greeted him. Soon the group was all together and the winged feline jumped down.
"So you wanted us all to come together on our sunes off from training, why?" Marsh panted.
"Just to show you around Highland Town, it was my idea," Rose sheepishly replied.
The four felines glanced at each other, the other three giving quizzical gazes to Xengu.
"I think it would be nice in order to see where we might be around for a long while," Jasar purred.
"I can't disagree with that. Maybe we'll need to get stuff anyway, so knowing the routes could be useful," Favi agreed.
"Sweet, I'll be showing you all around the area, maybe even get you all a bite to eat?" The fox offered.
