Rage

Two Sune Cycles Later

Jasar furiously ran through the cave, grabbing the herbs gathered by the foragers and dragging them to the herb storage cave. His hands were extremely full in the moment, and so was his mind. Recently he and the other three had been temporarily banned from going to the prisoner cave. He was absolutely furious about it, he needed to make sure that Raid was okay!

He growled as he swerved through the bustling ophoris menders, dodging their moving paws with a few stamina berries. Just before he reached the vines to the cave, he was whacked to the side and her yowled, watching as the branch of berries tumbled out into the traffic and got stomped on. Frustrated, Jasar let out a snarl and banged a fist on the ground, groaning and standing up.

"Jasar."

The tom cat whipped around with a growl, looking up to see it was his commander, who was staring down at him blankly.

"Yes, commander? I'm a little busy?" he growled, already moving toward the herb pile.

Just before he could reach it, he was halted by a paw blocking his way, causing him to sigh and look at Meditrina.

"This is not normal behavior from you, there must be something bothering you again," the commander rumbled, concern in her gaze.

"Everything is fine! I'll deal with it later," Jasar snapped, trying to push past the ophoris.

He couldn't move very far as he was blocked by another paw, making him put his hands on his head and let out a yell.

"Meditrina I'm trying to do my job!"

"And you've lost us supplies with your recklessness. I'm sure you could use some time away from putting up herbs."

Jasar squinted up at the mender commander for a moment before snorting and marching into his cave, his tail thrashing. He had to do everything he could for the island. He had to prove himself capable of anything! He had to speak with Raid, and if it cost him less relaxing, he was going to do it.

Growling, the tom cat sat down on the leaf pile, facing away from the exit. Darn Meditrina, keeping him from working. A small sigh escaped the feline and he laid down, trying to snuggle his way into the pile. If only this wasn't happening in the first place!

"Jasar..."

What in the world could she possibly want now? the male thought angrily. Lifting his head, he looked back to find the ophoris commander peeking her head through the reasonably small entrance to the cat's cave.

"Do you want to talk about what's bothering you?" she asked.

Jasar scrunched his nose and turned away, sinking his head back into the leaf pile.

"You wouldn't get it."

"What makes you say that?"

"Because you're a Fulgorian commander! You don't care what happens to Raid," he growled.

There seemed to be a frustrated snort that puffed behind him.

"That's not true... I'm well concerned for the prisoner."

"Then why don't you call her by name? Instead of... decharacterizing her? She's a living being too!"

A deep sigh came from behind the cat and he could hear the shuffling of the commander shifting and removing her head from the small cave entrance.
