Accusations
The Next Sune Cycle
Marsh was startled awake as he heard a roar of alarm, quickly getting to his paws and wildly looking around. What in the world was going on?! The male looked around desperately and found himself looking past the cage at a slightly burned Raid. His heart thumped intensely against his chest as he quickly ran around the cage.
"Raid! It's so good to see you!"
"Get away from her, Marsh!"
Freezing, the long eared male turned and saw a heavily hostile Xengu, whose eyes were glowing an intensely bright purple. Marsh blinked in confusion, then looked back at Raid, immediately noticing the burn on her was purple. Narrowing his eyes, the male turned to the panther as her tail lashed and she got into a crouched position. She almost looked like a normal panther.
"Why should I stay away from her? She's been helping us for the most part," the male grumbled, crossing his arms.
"What's going on?" asked a sleepy Jasar, who stumbled around the cage corner.
Marsh was about to explain when Favi quickly did a 'don't say anything' motion by her neck. He flattened his ears against his head, then glared at Xengu.
"She's a danger to all of us, she's the reason why we're here!" the panther roared.
"That's not true! She's been nicer to us than anyone else here!" the lynx snapped back.
"That's because it's her job. It's to fool us all!"
"I'm not trying to do that- "
"Shut up, traitor! I thought you were going to be good, no matter that you were forced to serve Morfran, but I was wrong!"
Raid flattened her ears at the panther's roar, causing Marsh to narrow his eyes and start marching up to Xengu. He was quickly beat by Jasar, who's body was riddled with bristled fur.
"No! You shut up about this! Raid did nothing wrong and was trying to get Favi and Marsh back!" he yowled with rage.
"And failed!" Xengu snarled.
"You did too!"
"How do you know she didn't give you false hope that you were going to save them when she was simply taking you to be imprisoned as well?!"
"T-that's not true, we devised a plan!"
"A plan of lies!"
"I didn't mean to get Jasar trapped here as well, okay Xengu? I thought I would be able to sneak in with so many of the Sinisters gone..." Raid mumbled.
"I hate to break it to you Raid, but Xengu has a point. Why should we be trusting you when you were proven a spy, and then decided to take Jasar here to save us when you knew there were going to be flabirs?" Favi asked.
"If anything, it was Xengu who made up the lie that Raid was a spy, why should we trust her?" Jasar growled.
Raid nudged the cat nervously and shook her head.
"No, she was right, and I confessed to her that. She was simply looking out for the Fulgorians."
Jasar's eyes widened when he flattened his ears against his head and growled.
"That doesn't mean you're a danger to us!"
"How do you know, you don't know what's on a Sinister's mind, and you never will! Raid took you here by will on the idea you would be taken in Jasar, face it!" Xengu roared.
