In The Rain

Chapter 28

Perrie had never seen a sight more divine. She was sitting at the table with several plates of nachos in front of her. "And they're all for me to taste." She squealed.

The girls who were not tasters were dirty with ingredients. Jesy had given everybody an hour to make their food and had been sabotaging them all. Eventually, they decided to sabotage her also and a lot of the time was spent food fighting. They actually managed to finish the nachos within the time though. It had been fun and they were all giggling.

"Just taste the damn food already little blonde." Jesy said getting tired of watching the child fawn over the food. "I wanna know if I won."

"Oh! Oh!" Leigh came in front of them. "The person who wins gets to have the first slice of the marble cake . . . and the last one! How does that sound?" She had flour at her cheek and her apron had sauce on it. Jesy had tried to sabotage her first.

The girls agreed to that.

"Eat mine first!" Jade ordered Perrie.

Perrie actually did not know whose was whose. She tried one and thought as she chewed. "Ah-ah. This one is too hard." She took from another plate and shook her head. "This one is too soft." She took from yet another. "Mmm but this one is just right."

It did not take the girls long to realize that Perrie was just saying the lines from the story of Goldilocks and the three bears.

"Okay let's just say that I won." Leigh took up her plate and waved a hand while holding it and smiling. She started walking around with it but it fell out of her palm and the plate broke and food scattered everywhere.

Everyone's mouths were hanging and they were quiet until Jesy started laughing. "What a clumsy idiot." She pointed at Leigh and laughed.

The other girls followed Jesy because they saw her as the leader.

Leigh-Anne frowned and then got an idea. She took up some of the food on the ground and tossed it at Jesy.

Jesy stopped laughing and watched Leigh.

Leigh put a finger at her chin. "Oops."

"Let me take care of that for you." Caroline licked food off Jesy's cheek making her scream. The other girls laughed.

Jesy growled and then took some food from one of the plates and tossed it at Caroline.

"Food fight two!" Leigh announced. And by her word, another messy fight with food started.

When they all got tired they started cleaning up.

"Did all of you bring bath material?" Leigh asked while mopping. The mop was almost too big for her.

"I didn't. I don't bathe outside of my house. I've got a shy body." Said Patsy while tossing broken plates into the trash that Kaylie held open.

Perrie was sitting down on the table as if she was royalty. "What do you do after gym class then?"

Patsy watched her. "I don't go to gym. Haven't you realized that I always arrive late when we've got gym?"

"I agree with that. I hate being naked out of my house." Kaylie said now washing the dishes that were not broken.

Jesy scoffed as she wiped the table. "You losers act like you've got stuff to hide. None of you have got boobs. I bet none of you even have pubes." She smiled at Leigh. "I know you don't even grow armpit-"

"Shhh!" Leigh ran to her and covered her mouth. She smiled at her guests who had been attentive. "Don't listen to anything she says."

Jade shook her head in amusement. "Leigh your shirt has no sleeves. We can see that you don't have pit hair."
